I wish I could tell you I miss you
even if it was as friends
Detrimental to my soul it would be
As I would fall down the trap you left me
Consuming me as it did before
Can lovers be friends ?
Everytime i see that smile it sends me back to 4 am
Everytime I look into your eyes it reminds me of 7 am, sun shining down on your body as the morning took over
Poison to our souls, a man who didn't know how to love and a woman who had spent all her love in one place
Quiet it left me, realizing it is best to leave some words left unsaid
No matter how much it pains me watching you grow without me
A friend I held so close
I'm now shut out
from the outside, looking in.
