Rule Number Four: Never run in the woods.
This should be a general rule for anyone, even small children playing, but sometimes it matters more than not. Hypothetically, if you were running from someone or something in the woods at night, chances are, there are leaves and things you cannot see. Dried leaves are one of the most obvious giveaways to someone's location. If you are moving on dead leaves and have a threat near, you're dead. As for things you can't see; roots, rocks, sometimes trees, animals, the small stuff that goes without a second glance when out for a leisurely stroll, but could mean life or death when being chased.
