If you hear Sammy shriek, that makes you a potential witness, which is a fancy term for dead. A lot of times, witnesses are just known as a follow-up target to the initial victim. If you see, hear, smell, taste, or touch something you probably shouldn't have, congratulations! You're in deep trouble! Now, don't call the cops, because the murderer won't like that. Even if they don't see you, you'd have a better chance of running to the police station than staying there and calling. Y'see, killers' senses are generally very acute, and they pick up on the little disturbances in their vicinity.
