Chapter 6 // apologize

"What the fuck is your problem?"

"Theresa, language." My mom snapped.

"Do you and jack have a thing?" Sam crossed his arms.

"Mom you can leave." I didn't want her to hear me cussing out Sam.

She walked away.

Slowly.

"No why the fuck would you think that?"

"You've been with him all day and I see the way he looks at you and the way you look at him. Youre not allowed to see him anymore."

"I don't even like jack. He's rude and annoying."

I lied.

"You forgot your binder..." Jack said standing in the doorway.

"JACK. What did you hear?" I took my binder from him.

"Enough." He said and walked away.

"Jack wait." I ran after him.

He kept on walking.

"Jack I'm sorry."

He turned around.

"Why would you want to talk to someone who is rude and annoying?" He started to walk back home.

I walked into the house.

Sam was smiling.

I punched him in the face.

"What the hell!" He yelled.

"Why are you smiling?!!"

"I don't know." He held his face and smiled.

I ran to my room and slammed the door.

I called him 3 times.

He didn't answer.

I decided to text him.

T- jack I'm sorry

T- I didn't mean any of it

T- can you forgive me?

T- I understand if you don't want to.

T- JACK

T- GILINSKY

T- ANSWER ME

J- what do you want

T- I wanted to apologize. I would do it in person but Sam says I'm not allowed to see you anymore.

J- yeah I heard him

T- oh I can sneak out through the window.

J- ok... remember to lock your door.

T- I'll be over in 5.

I locked my door and climbed out the window, slipping a couple times.

I walked to Jacks front door, took a deep breath and knocked.

Jack opened the door. He was wearing a grey hoodie and jeans.

"hi.." Jack said barely able to hear.
