Bedtime - CG! Remus/Agere! Janus

Warnings: Mentions of Janus and Remus dating, but nothing romantic while Jan's small

Note: I just found this in my drafts and had to finish and post it bc it's just so cute! It's more of a bullet fic than headcanons, but I figured it'd be fine to put here!

• Remus knows a lot about a lot 

• He doesn't know as much as Logan, but he knows about a lot, especially the more traditionally "strange" stuff

• So the concept of age regression isn't new to him, although he's never experienced it or seen someone go through it

• That is, until he couldn't find his boyfriend

• Janus usually goes and does whatever while Remus is asleep (since Remus is the only nocturnal side) but he was usually getting ready for bed when he woke up

• So when Remus woke up and couldn't find Janus anywhere, he was a little worried

• He headed straight to the Light Sides territory, ready to show no mercy to anyone who may have hurt his boyfriend

• He was a little more than shocked to find Janus sitting on the ground pouting in a snake onesie surrounded by baby toys

• Before Remus could do or say anything, Janus spotted him

• The little snake scrambled over on his hands and knees and hid behind a very confused Remus' legs

• "Emus, tell Papa 'n Dada no bedt'me!" he squealed, clinging to Remus

• The others are thoroughly confused by Janus' actions, but explain the situation to Remus nonetheless

• Apparently, Janus regressed earlier so they were watching a movie

• Now, though, it's bedtime and Janus is absolutely refusing to go to sleep

• Remus quickly scoops Janus into his arms and stage-whispers about how they're gonna pretend to go to sleep

• Remus then announces they're going to bed and puts Janus down, telling him to pick up his toys

• He's quick to scramble over to his stuffies and blankets, cleaning up while Remus promises the others he'll get Janus to sleep

• When Janus' all done, Remus scoops him up and carries him into the kitchen, announcing they're gonna get him a bottle of milk and head to bed

• Remus makes the little one a bottle while Janus sits on the counter, giggling and babbling about how they're so sneaky

• Remus finishes and carries Dee up to his room, telling him they have to lay down and "pretend" to go to sleep, just in case the others come check on them 

• So Remus lays down with Janus, giving him his bottle and watching him drift to sleep easily

• His usual caregivers are not happy when they realize just how easy Remus got him to sleep, but are thankful nonetheless
