"Zaivinth!" Sheila shouted my name, I gave her a glance, to where she was fumbling around her desk. "It's a misunderstanding!"

Then I look back at this Ross person to see him looking back at me and laughing. Why was he laughing? Why wasn't he struggling? I had my hand around his throat, how was he breathing? I'm glad he was breathing. But how?

Then all of a sudden Ross' eyes turned bright red and pushed my away from him. I stumbled backwards, and Cebrus caught me. He pushed me back onto my feet and was about to throw this bastard through a wall.

"Wait!" Sheila jumped into the middle of us. "Ross! Enough jokes! Explain yourself!" She looked me in the eye and held out both of her hands, like she was ready to hold me back.

"What do you want to know? I'm Weni's youngest son? I'm the god of Stars? Or you're my baby sister?"

"You're what?!" Sheila and I shouted in union. Then we looked at each other, the same expression on our faces. I watched her slowly turn to face Ross who had his hands in his pockets, his red eyes gone, rocking back and forth on his heels.

"I'm what?" He tilted his head to the side, a smile still spread across his face.

"You're Weni's son?" Sheila started, but before she could continue, I couldn't help but cut in.

    "You're my mates brother?"

"You're the God of Stars?" Cebrus put a hand on my shoulder? His mouth open with sock. "Gods exist?" He looked up at me as if I had an answer. I just looked down at him with a just as surprised look. I had never been this puzzled, in at least two hundred years.

"I love mortality." He chuckled, he looked to my mate, "yes, sister," he was trying to play the title on his tongue. "My mother, is Weni," Sheila opened her mouth to speak, but Ross held up a hand to stop her. "Yes that means she is the Goddess of the Moon."

He pointed a finger at me. "You," I reeled backwards, I didn't know if it was possible to send a god to the underworld; but I was about to try. If he spoke to me like that one more time. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. "My family," he pointed to the window that was behind her desk. "Is trying to adopt her."

What the fuck does that mean?! I let out a growl, "get out of here." I stomped past Sheila and grabbed him by the collar and started dragging him to the door.

"Hey, hey, hey," he lightly patted my arm, or maybe he was trying to hit me, that was holding his collar hostage. "Are you sure you want to kick a soon to be in-law, and the god of the star you constantly wish too, out?" I froze instantly and look down at him with my brows furrowed, he wiggles his eyebrows back at me. Then I dropped him onto the floor.

"Ouch," he stood and rubbed his backside. "It seems I had not made a good first impression." He faced me and bowed slightly, it made me want to bow back to him, but I held back. "I'm sorry," he said looking at Sheila.

A soft smile grew of her face, "I'm not mad," I watched her lean against the desk.

She was such an angel, how was she not mad, at either of us. The only one who hadn't made a fool of himself was Cebrus who was pouring a large glass of vodka. Where did that vodka bottle even come from? What was more puzzling was that glass was all vodka, no ice. Good to know that my friend Xion had a new drinking buddy.

"I'm sorry." I whipped my head to Ross to see him with his hands behind his back, looking up at me. Did he just apologize to me? I scoffed and crossed my arms in front of myself. "I should have controlled myself better," he scratched the back of his head. "It was my first time interacting with mortals in a long time."

I looked to Sheila to see what I needed to reply with. She just shot me a glare. Fine, I'll play nice. Because and only because he might be an in-law.

"I'm sorry." I sighed out and I watching his face light up. Then fall.

"I think I need to go."

"Why?" Sheila pushes off the desk. Tell me why was she stopping him? Why was she stopping him from leaving! I almost shot her a glare, then I remembered I actually enjoy having eyes, so I withheld.

Then there was a knock on the door. Ross smiled, "that."

I love Cebrus.
