Episode 17: Shutdown

Masa was shot in the arm as his Meta Runner arm was ripped off.

Tari: Masa!

Lamar: LUX, YOU FRICKING PSYCHOPATH! 

Sofia was not yet shown. Lux let out a sigh and points his gun at Masa's head.

Lux: Very well. 

Sofia: WAIT! 

Sofia appeared at the door with Fugi and the soldier from earlier. 

Lux: Ah. There we are.

Masa: Sofia... no...  

Sofia: Please, just don't hurt him anymore. 

Lux: I won't, as long as I have no reason to. 

She drops the tablet onto a cart.

Lux: Wipe everything on it. Run a worm program too in case she made backups. 

The scientist went through the files and deleted all on the tablet. 

Lux: Such a waste of talent. If only you'd have come to TAS Corp instead of joining up with this one. 

???: Like hell.

Lux: And who might this be? 

The soldier dematerialized his armor to reveal someone shocking to most of the people in the room.

Masa: Albert?

Albert: Surprise, huh?

Tari: Who's-

Masa: Albert Sheridan, he's the one who created the next generation Guardians.

Sofia: It's just- I just wanted to know what you did to my sister. 

Tari: Sister?

Lamar: Lucinia.

Belle: Lux didn't do anything, Sofia. 

Belle walks in.

Lux: Stay out of this, Belle. You have pushed my patience tonight as is! 

Belle: No, Lux! She deserves to know. Lucinia is dead, Sofia. I saw the footage myself.

Sofia: Show me. 

Belle: Sofia... 

Sofia: Show it to me, Belle!

Belle plays the recording on her arm to the very moment of the explosion.

Lucinia: DOCTOR! WHAT'S HAPPENING?!

Dr. Sheridan: JUST HANG IN THERE, I'M TRYING TO-

Albert: Dad! Dad, what's going on?!

Dr. Sheridan: NO, ALBERT! STAY BACK!

Sofia fell to her knees in tears after seeing the footage. Lux had a look of regret on his face then turns to Masa.

Lux: Well, Masa. You finally got the answers you are so desperate for. But as you can see, it's Sheridan who's to blame for Lucinia's death, not I.

Albert: That's a lie! 

Lux: Is it? Then why was she there then?

Sofia: I don't understand. Why did this happen? What was she doing there? 

Belle: Ask her!

All eyes were on Tari.

Theo: What, Tari? Tari would never hurt anyone.

Belle: Oh, so it's just a coincidence that she has the same logo as the one right here? 

Masa: Tari, what is this?
