The hotel suit was a mess. Drink bottles and cups every where. Some of us were sleeping on the beds while the other were either on the ground or on the couch. I sat up looking up at the past out drunk girls with makeup smudges and messy hairs, deciding how to wake them up. I decided to blast a heavy death metal song I could find on YouTube. It took a couple of seconds for their groans to start.
"Shut that thing up Ava!" Emma yelled followed by "shhh" from Chelsea.
"Wake up ladies! We have to be at the venue in 30 minutes for hair and make up. The limo is already down stairs," I explained.
The venue wasn't that far from the hotel. We would have the ceremony at this beautiful outdoor venue followed by the after party at this hotel ballroom that we are staying.
They all stood up slower than zombie and grabbing their bridesmaid dresses. I had Maddie's wedding gown as well as my own dress since I don't trust them to keep it safe.
As soon as we got to the venue we were greeted by our make up artists and hair dressers. I also made sure there were plenty of mimosas for the girls since the only cure to a hung over is more alcohol.
There was a soft music playing while the professional made us pretty and the photographer captured these moments.
"Did you see the boys?" Bianca gushed, "Their so handsome. I gotta get me one of those."
"I'm definitely gonna sleep with Louis."
"EMMA!" Maddie started shocked at her sister.
"What? It's destined for the maid of honor to sleep with the best man."
"They're criminals Emma," I stated the obvious.
"Who cares she just wants some dick," Megan defunded Emma.
"I agree with Ava," Charlotte, the only other sane one agreed with me.
"Plus Thomas told me Louis is brining Harry and a couple of other of their friend," Emma informed us, "maximum protection. So hot!"
"Are you kidding me?!"!I turned to Maddie, "that's like asking for trouble to happen."
"I know, I know." Maddie said trying to calm me. "Thomas insisted. They've been so generous. Letting us have unlimited drinks at the club and made sure that we have an open bar for the wedding."
I just shook my head in disappointment. "Nothing bad is gonna happen. Let's just enjoy the night and forget that they're criminals," Maddie placed both hair hand on each of my shoulders.
"What ever the bride says," I sighed, "it's your day after all."
She smiled at my defeat.
We helped Maddie get into her dress right before her parents came in to see her with tears in their eyes. I don't understand how they could be okay with her marrying into a gang.
The top of her dress had a smooth silky deep v neck revealing her cleavage. He dress was held up with the thinnest straps on her shoulders while her back was completely exposed. The dress hugged her figure and draped at the bottom like a mermaid. Her vail was lacy and came all the way down and trailed on the floor. Her hair was pinned up in a beautiful updo with some curles falling off of by her ears. The bridesmaid, including myself, were in different shades of baby blue of the shoulder illusion straps flowy dresses. Some of us had up dos while the others let their wavy hair down. I had a half up do while few strands framed my face with perfect curls at the bottom.
After three hours of brush storks on our faces to create the beautiful natural glowing look, the bride left to see her husband for pictures before they walked down the aisle.
We all stood in line behind the door that lead outside to the copper colored brick road that lead to the alter with white columns draped with white and blue roses. We could hear some hushed whispers about how there crazy it is that a bunch of gang members invited to the wedding. Glad I'm not the only one.
Emma and Louis walked out first to meet Thomas at the aisle followed by Chelsea and Zayn. I followed after them and so did the rest of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We all stood at the alter and awaiting for the bride after the flower girl spread flowers on the brick path.
Everyone stood in aw as Maddie made her way down the aisle with her dad. Tears in everyones eyes, including myself. Her dad gave her hand to Thomas and hugged them both before he sat in the front row next to Maddie's mom.
Once the minister started talking, I scanned the guest to find Harry staring with those jade right at me. He had unreadable facial expression. His stare either made me feel uneasy or gave me butterflies, but what's the difference. Butterflies could mean warning sign. I quickly diverted my attention back to the happy couple exchanging their vows. But I wasn't really paying attention, I was watching Harry out of the corner of my eyes.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride," the minister announced. The guest stood and cheered for the married couple as they left the alter hand in hand. We followed after and shortly did the guest.
_____
Back at the hotel ballroom, we all stood on our feet cheering as the groom and bride made their first appearance as husband and wife and walked toward their table.
As tradition, Maddie had her first dance with her dad. I shed a few happy tears for her and a few sad ones for myself since I didn't have a relationship with my father. She then had her first dance with her husband as we all watched in awe wishing to find love like that for ourselves.
After their first dance the DJ began playing popular 90's pop music and we all stormed the dance floor. After a few dancy songs, the DJ slowed it down and just like that most of guest left the dance floor. I made my way to the open bar to get myself a drink when I heard a familiar voice ask "may I have this dance?"
It felt like deja vu when I turned to face Harry. Absolutely not. "Sure," I said not wanting to make scene.
He left without giving me a second looked. I huffed and followed him. Our fingers entwined as I gently placed my other hand on his bicep. Oh he actually some firm muscles, I thought to myself. He also placed his hand on my lower side and we then started swaying side to side. Not a bad dancer either.
He was dressed in black button down with rolled up sleeves revealing the scattered tattoo along his arms. His dress shirt wasn't button all the way teasing to show more ink. His cologne intoxicated my senses. I wanted to run my hands through his dark curly hair that were push up and away from his face. His chiseled jaw line sharp, it could cut throats while his pink plump lips could rip out hearts.
We kept swaying side to side with out an exchange of a word while our eyes never broke their contact fighting for dominance. I almost forgotten where I was till he broke the silence.
"Renegades shipping containers made it to the yard, but instead of stealing their shipments like we had originally planned to, we were surprised by his men attacking us from inside the containers. Almost as if someone eavesdropped in our plans and tipped them off," he spoke quietly enunciating every syllable with his raspy voice while squinting his eyes at me and cocking his head slightly to the side not once breaking eye contact.
"Maybe you have mole," I shrugged trying to be as calm as I can be.
"Hmmm," he finally broke eye contact to shake his head up and down, but it wasn't long till he suddenly looked back in to my eyes with those jade color eyes of his that we're now almost black, as he then yanked my body closer, gripping my side harder, our faces inches from each other "blab your mouth one more time and I will make this room into a blood bath," he spat with anger through gritted teeth keeping his voice low. After he made sure his threat caused a fear through out my whole body, he let go of me and walked off the dance floor.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and looked around to see if anyone noticed. And to my luck every one was oblivious. Well shit.
