It came from the whaling cries of a young baby. Darkness in the heavy storm of rain and thunder. Robed figures traveling in a column in the rain. All bearing different marks at their hoods. All were running as two gods and their immortal armies battled behind them. Heading the front of the crowd, only two stood out.

A young boy who looked no older than thirteen years of age, and a young baby, bundled and wrapped in his arms as the cloth repealed all manner of diseases and the rain from harming him. The symbols on their hood, glowing brightly as a silver pale moon.

If anyone there was of a sane mind, they would see their helpless and defenseless nature. If one were a keen observer they would see that the young boy grasped a strange sword at his side, and the running crowd was not what it seemed, and as well the fighting of the largest bonfire that was lit ablaze by the forest.

The boy's robe was cloaked in protective enchanting spells, ancient text lining from top to bottom on the fabric, and a sigil glowing at the forefront of his hood like a beak. Torn and ripped, soaked in blood, and all of the protective enchantments run out. The symbol at the top of his head glowing brightly like flames that was around him.

The boy for all of his silent bravado stared menacingly beneath his hood. The emblem of his family glowing brightly in his hour of Darkness. That same Darkness covered his face with nothing but blood clear as day sticking to every bits of his facials.

A feral cry catching in his ears. Behind him he slashed a dark warrior as the young boy defied every sense of realism as he easily bisected a creature... a monster to him, through metal, through skin, flesh, bone. Through steel and sinew.

The young kid was nothing normal, and beyond supernatural. He was the same to these hordes of monsters as if a boat was sailing through the harshest ocean waves. He alone had broken through their waves, he alone had broken the toughest mountain, and he alone had weathered the flames.

The eyes of those with normal lives looked upon him with reverence, and those who had sworn oaths to defend looked upon him as if he is a savior.

If he was he had to clear the skies. Part the clouds from the Heavens himself. The thoughts of the young boy he remembered with the heavy foot stomps. The same Earth-shaking feet.

There was a cry of pain as he remembered the man being flung from the other side of a house. A knight and his horse both, crippled from a giant block of spiked metal with enough strength to topple said house in one clumsy swing.

Stepping forth from through the rubble was an amalgamation of man and beast. A Equestrian form, body of a steed with clawed feet and the wings of a bat, along with a tail of reptiles, from where the neck is, was a large muscle-toned body that would make any warrior envious with the upper torso of a man. Ape-like flesh that sparked both with sparks and electricity as its hair grew aflame with heat. A head encased in a helmet with a single eye, that stared death and gazed in the absolute soul, bringing even the fiercest man to cower by its awe-frightening power.

Gripped in bloody soaked hands, the monster wielded a gigantic hammer maul. Adorned with long sharp spikes long and sharp enough to skewer a man four times, and it alone radiated a fog of miasma that melt skin and bones at the slightest touch for those whoever had dared enter it.

It roared as it brought the maul down, crushing the horse and knight. Beneath the accursed weapon it wielded. It looked up to him, it only took a glance look to the symbol he worn in order roar a fit of rage. It charged, all fours of the beast ran with the speed of an arrow, and with the force of a boulder.

He began to run, but for what reason was unknown to him. He ran and many times tripping, but he still ran.

He remembered readying a strike, so too did the giant monster.
