The New Decade

Hello. This story is based on my thoughts and words of the new upcoming decade and what my predictions are and thoughts of what it'll be like. Remember this is an opinion and not factual nor is it going to happen. Thank You.

2020. I never thought I'd hear that word. I remember writing 2012 on paper not that long ago and look at me now, writing 2020 on paper and saying that word. Though, I've dreaded saying that word. Not once was I ever excited. Why? Because I always thought all the cars would be electric and automatic car doors that open like the imagined future, and flying cars and hoverboards. Parts of that did happen. Like Teslas and many other electric or hybrid car companies have those pure electric cars and automatic car doors. But hoverboards? Not a thing. Yes there are segways but those don't hover, they just have a very futuristic design. To be honest, I kind of like these new things these days. But certain things like flying cars or proper hoverboards most likely wont exist for another few more decades. To this day I wont even know what those kinds of things would even look like until I would see one. I don't even want to try and imagine what they would look like.

In the new decade, we are going to get a brand new generation of music. Ever since modern music came out with modern day instruments and then computer generated sounds which has now evolved into bass and treble beats etc. Now we will probably hear the same sounds but more evolved and revolutionised.

Consoles. We know our competitors, Sony with PlayStation and Microsoft with Xbox and of course Nintendo with Nintendo Switch. But since the PS5 Specs got announced and a developers version has been leaked, that'll be coming between 2020-2021. Xbox Series X (formerly known and codenamed Xbox Scarlett/Project Scarlett) has been revealed and is set for launch in Winter 2020. But there is a possibility of a delay due to re-election in the USA and since Microsoft's main office is there, there could be the possibility of a huge delay until Early 2021 or Spring 2021. But of course it may still launch normally since they have been known for being on time with a few exceptions. But Nintendo on the other hand, well they aren't talking about a console yet, nor has anything to do with hardware been leaked. They still have tons of plans for the Switch that they want to go ahead with. And it is still too early to release a console seeing as the Switch is 3 years old now. Maybe in the mid decade or 2022 or something like that, they will announce and release something but for now, nothing has come up as of 26/12/19.

Wars and Events. To be honest, I prefer not to speak about it but I'm going to have to for this since it's the whole point. Seeing as Donald Trump has now been impeached, there's an incredibly low chance of him being Re-Elected. I don't personally care about politics or anything on that side but of course there are times where you have to speak up or think about it. There aren't signs of any possible wars anytime soon. Not in 2020 anyway. Because they still need a new president in 2020 and they won't have any beef with other countries. For the UK, I'm not that sure. I live in the UK, not saying which region, it's not England anyway, and I don't have a Scottish accent so there you go that's all im saying. From there you can guess. Anyway, I don't even keep up to date with our politics because all I want to care about is my life and my future. Including family. I really doubt that a war or some sort of major event aside from Brexit will occur so that won't really matter.

Conclusion. I think the new decade is going to be great. Don't be thinking of everything that is a vehicle will be purely or entirely electric. Don't be thinking our streets will be full of Teslas or anything like that because you must live in a neighbourhood of rich people if that's what is going to happen. Overall, look forward to the new decade. It's going to be a blast. And it'll be a new decade so a new start for my stories etc.
