We got to Davidson, North Carolina. We started to unload all our luggage from the car. All of a sudden a boy ran out of his house across the street.
"HEY LET ME HELP YOU WITH THAT!" he yelled from his drive way.
"Oh thanks." I said handing him my suit case.
"My name is Hayes. What's yours." He smiled at me
"Juliette." I smiled
"Oh like Romeo and Juliet!" He said
"No! I spell it the original French way. Not the Shakespeare way."
"Oh really and how is that?"he smirked at me
"J-U-L-I-E-T-T-E NOT J-U-L-I-E-T!!"
"your funny" he laughed
"Really?"
"Haha yeah"
"Awesome your already making friends!?" My mom yells from the front door
"Yeah mom I am " I said rolling my eyes
"What school does he go to?" She asked
"Mom I just met him! I'm not gonna know his life story!" I yelled
"Davidson day miss' he told her
"That's where she's going!" My mom said
"Cool maybe we can drive you. I can show you around and teach you about my school" he offered
I looked up at my mom with this look like 'please I need to make friends'
"It's ok with me if its ok with your mom" she said
"YES!" I whispered
"What?" He asked
"Oh nothing! I'll show you where to put the bags" we walked up to my room. My moms work put furniture in the house. I plopped down on my new bed.
"Aaahhhhhhh. This atta be great" I exclaimed.
"What do you mean?" He asked plopping down next to me.
"I'm not exactly 'normal'"
"What?"
"I'm weird as f**k"
"Hahaha so am I"
"I'm really random and embarrassing to be around when I'm hyper"
"So am I"
"Haha ok looks like we'll get along!"
He both laughed.
"Hey come hang out at my house for a little bit?"
"If its cool with my mom."
I asked my mom if I could hang out at his house for a while and my mom said yes. We ran down stairs and across the street to his house. He grabbed my hand in excitement and pulled me in his house.
"Mom! We have new neighbors!" He yells up the stairs at his mom. A little girl ran down stairs right before his mom.
"Hi what's your name!? I'm skylynn!!" The cutest little girl in the world asks me.
I needed down "hi skylynn! My new is Juliette. Can I just say you are the cutest little girl ever!" I said
"Aw thank you!! You're pretty too!" She said.
"Hi Juliette im Elizabeth." She said sticking her hand out to shake mine.
"Hi Elizabeth. I hope its ok I'm in here. Hayes invited me in." I responded
"No its fine. So your new in town?" She asked
"Yeah. Right across the street." I said
"Nice. I feel like I'm asking a million questions but if you don't mind me asking. Where are you from?" She asked pouring a glass of watter.
"California." I responded
"Sounds nice" she said
"I wish we lived out there!" Hayes yelled
"I don't. I've always hated the city. I never got to know my neighbors. No knew anyone. I've always wanted to live in a small town in the country." I said
"Do you want a glass of water?" Hayes asked me
"Sure." He handed me a glass of water
"We are gonna go hang out by the lake!" Hayes said and grabbed my hand and pulled me out back where the was a lake.
"Whoow!"
"Yeah it beautiful at sun set. That's why I bright you out here."
We talked for about 2or3hours before both our moms came looking for us.
"You both have school in the morning you need to get some sleep" our moms said in unison.
"Ugh" we both groaned and walk back to his house. He hugged me.
"See you in the morning! Knock on my door when your ready."
"Okay see you tomorrow"
"Wait what's ur number so I can text you tonight" he whispered do our moms didn't hear.
"Sure" i gave him my number and ran home. I spent like an hour spamming Hayes with pics of me in a million different outfits because I couldn't choose. We decided on high waisted leggings and a bright blue half shirt. We said good night at 11:10 and went to sleep.
