The door opened with a 'hiss' and a 'WOOOOSH!'

"PLEASE WAIT FOR THE DOOR BEHIND YOU TO SHUT COMPLETELY!" A feminine computer voice said as LED lights from the ceiling flickered on. The sudden appearance of light taking Y/n by surprise.

Cautiously Y/n moved forward not sure as what to do as she looked around the room, ahead was a thick bullet-proof glass barrier. Beyond the glass she saw cots and  curtains, and quite a few aisles; it was a very white place with an almost an invisible hum probably coming from the lights and other electronics and machinery that is there or hidden in the walls.

She also saw other kids from what seemed to rage from 5 to 19 year-olds. They all wore hospital gowns, white with tiny intricate blue flowers spotted all over.

Suddenly the glass door moved and slid open similar to a patio door, except without a door handle.

Another worker then came walking, this one looked a little different. They had a white suit, blue surgical gloves, and blue glistening rubber boots. Their suit also seemed to have more hoses and tubes. The mask was more of a transparent face shield than a bio-hazard mask. Y/n could actually see the face, it was a woman. The woman looked like a cross between the lunch lady and the nurse from 'Skool'; she looked serious and possibly mean but not as mean or apathetic as the lunch lady. Her was hair was a dirty-blond slightly whitened with some grey streaks, her eyes were wide awake but tired at the same time as if she had been awake for hours.

*WWSHHHH*

Y/n glanced behind her momentarily to see the glass barrier had closed again, watching the bio-hazard guards leave.

"Alright it looks like we got another one, come with me and I'll show you to where you'll be for the time being," the woman spoke with a gruff and gravely voice with a slight southern accent.

Y/n whipped her head back to face the woman in the suit, upon closer inspection Y/n saw a name tag on the woman's suit reading 'Sherry'.

Y/n only nodded as she followed Sherry. While walking she could see some people just laying on their cots starring up at the ceiling. Some seemed to be writing on paper playing one of those word games, some paced around, some just sat up rocking backing and forth.

The woman stopped in front of one of the cubicles with a curtain open and tossed the gown to Y/n.

"This is where you'll be staying, change into that. I'll be back sometime later or so to run a test on ya," the woman said before leaving.

Y/n nodded, it seemed silent here. Taking a deep breath she decided she might as well change despite feeling awkward and uncomfortable. Y/n pulled the curtain shut to give herself some privacy. Then she changed into the gown, setting her clothes at the end of the cot.

After that Y/n wasn't sure what to do, was she even allowed to leave her cubicle? Do I sleep, but I don't really feel like sleeping. It is a little chilly in here, maybe I can talk to some of the other people here.

So then Y/n cautiously and quietly pulled the curtain open and tip-toed out. Thinking, Y/n remembered seeing someone when she walked in that didn't look scary to talk to. Maybe she knows something, so she made her way the direction she came.

Eventually she came to one of the spaces with an open curtain where she saw the girl, peering in to confirm she was correct. Was she even correct to even try socializing with her?

The girl had brown hair slightly awry and messy, her skin was tanish brown. She was hunched over especially at her neck, and she was constantly rocking back and forth with her arms crossed. The girl still maintained a somewhat calm and relaxed face, unlike most of the people she's seen, but she did look tired.
