Jail Time

Frank blearily opens his eyes with a groan as the light shines upon his sore eyes. He blinks and faces away from the light, raising a hand only to find it restraint with a chain to the ground.

"Oh great," Frank snorts," Bastard Suwu just can't cut me some slack," he grumbles as he has no choice but to stay sitting at where he was placed. He wonder who else has the luck to be put in jail after attacking a Southern Enforcer.

"Probably dead," a feminine voice from the other side replies, as if reading his mind.

'At least they kept the universal translator,' he thinks as he tries to figure out who would want to talk to someone as ugly as him.

"Oh, I'm Fuu, a Ranaen," she is quite a cute looking person, green skinned, bubbly light green hair and pupiless dark green eyes, she reminds him of Earth's clouds, except green. He sighs, he misses his planet.

"Oh don't worry, I'm sure we'll be out of here soon," Fuu grins." Southern Jails are very loosely guarded after all," she adds.

"Say," Frank can't help but pipe up," can you read minds or something? If so, stay out of my head," he fumes.

"Nope! I can read your emotions though and right now you're a little bit nervous hehe!" Fuu giggles. Frank takes it back, she is kind of creepy.

"Quiet!" The warden exclaims as the guards pull in a prisoner into his cell. After dumping her there, they left after slamming the door shut, auto locking behind them.

One, Frank knows it's a woman because again, it's a humanoid but this time, it's creepily becoming closer to human now. She has light peach skin and black long hair, despite the cat ears and tail, she looks a lot like a neko rather than an alien.

They both stare at each other for a while, as if not believing the other exist, though Frank is probably more obvious because the other girl looks just silently observing him.

Once she apparently decided that he was safe, she turns to examine the bars and suddenly reached out for them.

"Hey-" Frank was about to warn her but she was already pulling them apart despite the electricity that Frank could practically feel just by standing that close to her. He gapes as she finds the power source at the side and breaks it, stopping the electricity. She steps out and lends a hand towards Frank. Fuu looks at her fascinated as well. He didn't know why she wanted to set him free either but was going to take the chance. He grabs her hand and she pulls him out.

Suddenly a crackling ray of energy shoots towards them, with a flash of pink, a shield appears in front of them, blocking their fire.

The shield then becomes a ball which ricochet off the guards and into the control panel, letting loose all the prisoners.

At first they had thought it was time for work, until they saw the guards armed and angry and Fuu running for her life in the other direction and that almost broken shield, they quickly ran too, some making noise while doing so.

"Stop!" The guards finally exclaims and changes their trajectory. Frank was just following the woman that broke them out through the prison, even if it didn't seem that she was finding the exit.

After a few corridors, the sound of gunfire and shouting getting softer, he had an inkling feeling he was right as they walk through a door labelled in a language he isn't able to translate without his gadgets, which is all in his ship.

She just practically smashes the lockpad in with a streak of pink, revealing as the light dims, as a sword.

"Who the hell uses swords anymore?" Frank can't help but muse.

"If you're going to be noisy and useless, the exit is on your left," she replies as the door creaks open under her strength.

"Ouch, no one has been able to resist my charming personality before," Frank teases, though it not exactly true.

She ignores him and walks pass a few force-shielded cells. This time however, the control panel should be in the main tower rather than in the same room as the prisoners.

She goes towards the one way at the end, the shields are also sound-proved so they can't exactly hear any of their screamings. She is however more focused on the cell, waving her hands around, Frank tilts his head before realising what she is doing.

"What are you? From the rock generation? That's even older than the sword!" Frank snorts, she is apparently very adept that ignoring others as her concentration on the spell has not been broken as she raises her hand and the force-field gave way.

"Advanced Neutralising Spell," the prisoner muses, a dark purple skinned -again- a humanoid but much shorter but from it's frail look but confident voice, he must be at the edge of he's lifespan." You never ease to amaze me," he chuckles as she breaks through the forcefield, Frank breaking through his stupor to rush in with her.

"You could have broken yourself out," she accuses but it lacked any malice.

"That was a long time ago... now I don't have the strength to even lift my legs," he chuckles.

"Prune-" she sighs, a tone filled with vulnerability, Frank swallows nervously and fidgets, feeling like he is seeing something he shouldn't despite if it's perhaps any other person like Sw or Greg, only then will it be great blackmail material and he'd be elated.

"Child, you shouldn't have risked exposure because of me, I am reaching the end of my time," Prune replies." You however, have much more to learn, to discover, to protect," he adds. She looks rather bitter about that. Frank frowns looking back at the forcefield and the shadows that got bigger and bigger from the edge of the long corridor that is the special holding cells.

"Uh, cat lady, we need to go," Frank replies pointing to the guards. She stands up and grabs Prune, he is slightly small enough to look like a child on her back.

"Hang on," she tells prune, Frank is honestly insulted that he wasn't given a lift instead because he is pretty sure they went up a few stairs before reaching here.

She makes a gun-like gesture with her hands and an energy blast shoots through the wall, though it looked small, it made a huge hole. Frank immediately raises his hand to shield his nose and mouth but he hadn't taken a deep breath, which meant he'd run out of air soon. But just as he's about to resign to his death for the second time this week, a hand grabs his free arm and he feels his feet lift off the ground.

As he manage to open his eyes after the feeling of solid ground reaches his toes and a huge gust of wind made him gasp for breath. He lands onto the ground, coughing, before looking up at where they were.

Frank looks around at the pristine white walls and floating robots and holograms.

"Welcome, to the Universal Hotel, please proceed to the main counter to confirm reservations or book a room-"

"Geez, are you a princess or something? The universal hotel?" He asks.

"Oh," she looks behind him, Frank had to double check that she was finally addressing him," I only booked one room, so you're on your own," she replies.

Frank gave her a confused expression but apparently she was serious as the approaches the main counter. He jogs over to her.

"Hey, my ship is at the bar, but I'm a mercenary, so why don't we cut the price and I'll pay you back double later?" He asks." Including, ship fuel," he replies.
