The words kept running through my head, I was getting adopted. Me? Adopted? Those two words together were not good. Ms. Lincoln stared me down. I immediately stood up and slammed my fist down, while shaking my head. I felt the tears pile up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall.

"Blake." Ms.Lincoln said sternly, she then sighed, "Please, Blake, I know the past homes were not the best," I gave her a look, she sighed again, "But give this one a chance." I left the room. I ran out, and the man 'Mr.Carter' looked at me. I didn't look back. Some of the kids stopped what they were doing to stare at me. I ran up the stairs and into the attic. The Attic had slowly became my home, all the other kids stayed out, and it was my space. I grabbed one of the pillows off of a little seating area I had made and screamed. I screamed as loud as I could, and didn't stop. I didn't stop when my throat started hurting. I stopped when I needed to breathe, when I couldn't scream anymore. I threw the pillow at the wall. Feeling the need to break something. I may have been over reacting, but I didn't want to go to a new home. I didn't want the cycle to continue. Bad home, after bad home.

I looked around the little makeshift room. That's when I saw Stitch. The little stuff animal I've had with me since I came here. I picked it up and hugged it close to my chest. I buried my head into the fur, and cried. I unleashed the tears that needed to come out from Ms.Lincoln's office, I cried. I slowly grew tired, but yet I didn't stop crying. I couldn't understand what the world had against me. Why it kept throwing obstacle after obstacle at me.

I wiped my tears. I didn't want anyone to know I was crying. A soft knock echoed throughout the little attic. Then the little door, that was on the floor opened.

"I knew you would be here," there stood little tattle tail, Lindsey. I glared at her, she knew better than to get close to me.

"Ms. Lindsey wants you to come down to her office." She stated with a smug face,I was about ready to shove my fist into her face, but instead, I flipped her off, then turned to the other direction. I picked up a tennis ball and started tossing it from hand to hand.

"Ms. Lincoln Blake won't-!" She yelled but I threw the ball close to where she was, hard. She quickly shut the door, and ran. I could hear her yells, "Ms. Lincoln! Ms. Lincoln! She attacked me!" She kept yelling, and I rolled my eyes and sat down in a little chair I had brought up here. I was planning on staying up here, I would go down at night for food and water, but I would stay here where no one could get me. At least I had the spiders for friends. I huffed at the thought. I must be pretty lonely to have to rely on spiders, and my stitch stuffed animal to talk too. I soon heard quiet footsteps, coming towards the little door, before it opened. There shined Ms.Lincoln's dark eyes, with bags underneath. Years of dealing with us, me especially. She sighed as she saw me and crawled up into the attic.

"Blake, please listen to me." I turned my head, and crossed me legs on the chair I was on. "Blake, I have been in contact with Mr. Carter for a while, I've visited the home. His girlfriend, and him have a lovely home, and I feel like it'll be good for you." She walked over to me and crouched down so we were eye level. She knew not to grab my hands, she understood that I couldn't handle people touching me.

"Please Blake, I have a good feeling that this will be your forever home, who knows you could meet new people." I rolled my eyes, and shook my head, "Blake, try, please, I want to see all you girls go to happy homes. I know it seems like I don't care, and I get angry, but I love all of you," I looked at her in the eyes. I sighed and looked down. Maybe, it wouldn't be so bad.

I looked up, and nodded, she smiled and stood up the best she could, considering the low ceilings.

"Come on, I'm sure you would like to meet him," I sat up, and we both walked out the door, I walked behind her. We walked into her office, and Mr.Carter sat in the chair.

"Mr. Carter, this is Blake," He turned around and looked at me. He then did something that surprised me. He crouched down, smiled and held out his hand.

"It's very nice to meet you Blake, you can call me Alex," Alex, had black hair, that looked as if he didn't brush it. He has had dark brown eyes, almost black. He looked a little scary. I stared at his hand, and shakily held mine up and shook his.

"I guess we better get to the paperwork," Ms.Lincoln said with a grin that stretched all across her face. Alex stood up and looked at her.

"I guess we should."

The paper work was done, and Ms.Lincoln had told Alex that I had gotten into a fight and was suspended from school for the rest of the week. It was the day after and he was supposed to come pick me up. I was currently packing up my stuff.

"Well, well, Ms.Lincoln kick you out, finally," I heard the snarky voice from little tattly tail. I turned to glare at her. There she stood in the doorway, her arms crossed, leaning against the doorway. I grabbed my suitcase when I heard Ms. Lincoln call me down. She pushed herself off. Her brown hair up with a ponytail coming off after being static to the wall.

"Finally she did, you cause nothing but trouble, no wonder nobody wants you," My fingernails dug into my hands as I clenched my fist, " I mean your parents didn't even want yo-" I couldn't hold back. I did something I have wanted to do ever since she showed up. I punched her, right in the nose. She stumbled back, holding her bloody nose. Tears gathering in her eyes. She stared wide eyes at me. I walked out the room. A smirk upon my face. Did I regret it? No, it felt amazing. I walked down the stairs, suitcase banging on each step as I walked down. Their stood Ms.Lincoln and Alex, talking. I was expecting Lindsey to march on down and tell Ms. Lincoln, but I think she was too scared.

Ms. Lincoln and Alex both turned at me. I stood there waiting for one of them to say something. Ms. Lincoln hugged me, my eyes went wide, and I started patting her on the back, she then whispered, "I have a good feeling about this," I looked down. I was scared, if I was being honest. She released me from her trap, and looked over at Alex.

"Everything is in order, you are good to go." Alex nodded.

"Well then, Blake are you ready to go," He looked at me, to which I nodded, "Well then let's go," He walked over, picked up my suitcase, and started walking out. It was only then that I noticed all the girls staring at us. Surprised to see me, getting adopted.

He led me outside, and we walked up to a shiny black ford mustang, the rims were silver, the windows were tinted so you couldn't see inside them. It didn't have a speck of dirt. Alex opened the truck and shoved the suitcase into it. I opened the passenger side door and got in. He got into the driver's seat and started driving. The car ran smoothly, it felt as if you were floating. The seats were also very comfortable. I just looked out the window, enjoying the silence, with just a faint noise of the radio. Alex just focused on the road. I watched as we passed houses, than rice fields, to acres of trees. Some were orange, some were lemon trees. I enjoyed just looking out.

It was quiet in the shiny car, until finally Alex spoke up, "I would like to warn you that there are more people living in the house," I looked over at him, "My girlfriend and I live in the house, along with my best friend Jason, and his wife Sarah, my girlfriend's name is Andrea." My eyes widen, to many people, all in one house. How am I ever going to survive. I didn't like people, I didn't want to be around people, not at all. I quickly turned my head to face out the window again. Just watch the sereny, I told myself. I analyzed the different colored leaves, they way there were piles of them on the ground. I tried calming myself down. I was so scared. No, terrified.

Silence wrapped itself around the car, filling the void, and remained that way until we pulled up to a mansion. The mansion had a modern look, with white pillars holding it up. There was a garden with bright colorful flowers in front, as you pulled into the driveway, which looped around. The house was white, with a black roof. It had tons of windows, and the house just seemed to glow.

"Welcome to your new home Blake," I give it five days before I'm sent back.
