I've never seen Cebrus take off so fast he just left with a, "my gods." Which made me want to throw up with anxiety. I used to feel like Cebrus didn't care, though I know now is that his lack of emotions, and his lack of caring are two way different things. Now seeing how stressed he was, sent me over the edge. Was my race about to get slaughtered due to a spy?

Why would Azai betray us? What is his motive? This came out of nowhere. I turned behind me and shouted to the men, "everyone, three paces faster, forward march!" I picked up the speed, my feet no longer hurting. My mate flew up ahead, to get the people in front of us moving.

Why couldn't war go smoothly? Why can't I just trust people? Azai seemed so nice, was it all just a mask?

There are maybe six people now that I could trust my life in. Those people being, Zaivinth, Weni, Flores, Xion, Cebrus, and Herus, in that order. It was small group of people, but they were all very, very, powerful fighters. I felt safe around them, as they should feel about me.

Zaivinth, Weni, and Herus, have proved that they would fight for me. Xion and Cebrus trust in me, and I trust in them. I don't know what Cebrus is capable of, though behind that cold facade, I know there is something dangerous boiling.

An hour later we made it to the camping grounds. "Everyone unpack, set up forts, afternoon training will be held back till further notice." I shouted to the men that were buzzing around like honey bees. They bowed in respect before going back to what they had to do. I'm sure the sensed the urgency in my tone, because they were working at gods speed.

That moment I sent up a prayer to four gods, Atwood, the goddess of protection and good fortune. Ulises, the god of war. Atiena, the goddess of victory and strength, and Livi, the goddess of peace. "Please allow those troops to be safe." I clapped my hands together and brought it to my forehead before bowing to the gods.

I then looked up to the sky and frowned as I felt water droplets hit my face. Maybe it was much to late for the gods to help us.

As I was walking towards the generals tent, graciously set up by my men, I came across three women. Women I had never seen before. "Are you Sheila?"

Thank gods, finally someone who greets me without the honorifics. "Yes, do you need help?" I faced the women properly. One was strapped in armor with a large shield on her pack, her body shined with many golden bracelets and necklaces. Maybe it was a family heirloom.

The other had beautiful blonde hair with flowers intertwined within, which was sadly now matted down by the rain. She wore a green dress that covered her shoulders and body but nothing more. She was beautiful, I looked in her hands to see a beautiful hairpin with a flower at the end.

Then finally I looked to the other woman, she had red hair with a great sword strapped to her side. Her hair was tied up and her shoulders were squared. I felt small in her presents.

"No, we are here to help you, dear," the one with the golden bracelets said as she took the shield from off her back. She held it out to me to take.

I raised a brow as I examined the beautiful golden shield that probably had so many memories. "For me?" I said, puzzled. She nodded her head, "oh no, I can't. It looks too special for me to take." I held out my hands, refusing it.

She pushed it into my grasp, "when you go to battle, hold this. It will protect you," I kind of looked at her with an odd look before taking it and bowing.

Then I looked over to the girl next to her who was pulling on my arm, "hey, hey," she smiled shyly her voice barely over a whisper. "Wear this, please." She out there hairpin on the shield. "I'm rooting for you, so you better win!"

I gave her a meek smile back. "I'll be doing my best, so please put your trust in me." I bowed my head to her accepting her gift as well.

She gave a giggle, "of course I trust you, why would I be here if I didn't!"

"Anyways excuse her, here." The last one unstrapped the sword from her belt. "His name is Opalian, he will keep you in good hands. Take good care of him." She threw it onto the shield.

"Uh, I don't think I am worthy of these things, they look much too important!" I cried out trying to push it back. Though they all just took a consecutive step back.

"We will come back for them when you aren't in need of them." The one that had the shield rested a hand on my shoulder. They all seemed too powerful, I felt like they could crush me in an instant.

"Thank you so much, I will use them well." I bowed my head deeply, before lifting up my head to see that they are nowhere to be seen.

    "What?"
