Powers/Abilities: She is able to manipulate shadows and turn them solid for a short amount of time. Her powers/abilities get stronger on the day of Halloween, when she is mostly believed in. (Though if she was able to be seen/believed in, her powers will be stronger in general.)
Personality: Hallow is very kind and helping. She'll do what anything for anyone if it means that they will be safe. Though she does have a mean side where she'll be bossy or unhelpful, especially when people are doing stupid and dangerous things. She can be easily persuaded into things if worded right. Otherwise she can be stubborn.
Backstory: Hallow lived in a small village with her mother, and father. Her mother almost died from a deadly illness but was treated by an Herbalist that was staying at the village temporarily. Hallow was in awe with how the Herbalist saved her mom so she asked to be the apprentice of the Herbalist. Months have passed and Hallow, being the quick learner she is, has learned all that the Herbalist had to teach. So the Herbalist left the village. Almost a year has passed and the village started to act differently. They started to believe in witches and were accusing every woman of being a witch. They were either hung, drowned, or burned. The people of the village started to suspect Hallow as a witch. She was able to prove to a few that she was innocent but the majority were still against her. Hallow ended up being burned alive. Months after her death the man in the moon, aka Manny, healed her skin made her into a spirit. For the longest time she was confused as to why Manny did this but later on she has believed that he wanted her to help protect the people. To protect them from the "monsters" that lurked on one day, every year. Soon that day became Halloween and she was known as the Halloween spirit. Though she cannot be seen, she never let that get in the way of protecting the people.
Inspiration:
-Halloween was believed to be a day where the barrier between our world and the world of ghosts and spirits got really thin. People thought weird creatures with powers wandered around, so they threw a party to scare them off.
-It was believed that black cats were just witches that shape-shifted.
