"Cmon!" Elora yelled over the grunts of her brothers.

She shot at them endlessly and watched them block or evade. Elora was shooting yellow balls of energy towards them, hoping they'd be able to maneuver away.

They were in a clearing far from the pack to avoid disturbing them.

She watched the oldest out of the two boys, Malakai, drop to roll in the mud. He stood at 6'4, with brown skin and beefed up muscles, he was rather intimidating for an eighteen year old. His snow white, tightly curled hair was cropped short, faded on the sides. His red ringed eyes stuck out like a sore thumb just like his hair against his dark pigmentation. Malakai had decided at the age of thirteen to use his abilities to protect his siblings and has thus delivered.

Malakai could manipulate his own energy into flames, they could sprout from any part of his body. To put it bluntly, he was a pyromaniac.

Beside him was Lucas, lighter skinned than him by a fraction with caramel curls. He was the youngest of the siblings

His eyes were a stark yellow but other than those two defining features the boys looked identical. He was only a few inches shorter than Malakai. The seventeen year old was smarter than both of them combined.

He wielded his magic in a slyer manner than Malakai. He could cast spells, which neither of them were able to attempt. His spell casting was quick and efficient. Although, this energy they shared didn't run through him like the older two. Lucas needed a way to transport it if he wanted to create a physical manifestation. For example an explosion, Elora's specialty.

And then there was her, the oldest at twenty three. She was named Elora by parents none of them could remember.

Her hair was coily, reaching mid back- like Malakai's it was pure white, sticking out like a sore thumb. On top of that stark family trait, her eyes were bright yellow like Lucas's. Unlike him, however, Elora wore blacked out sunglasses on all occasions. Elora liked to avoid the attention they drew. Only when she found herself sleeping was when they were removed.

Her chocolate skin matched her brothers, however, Elora's stature did not. She was considered shorter and curvy. They were tall, made of pure muscle.

Elora's powers, however, were by far the most... unpredictable at times. She was able to stretch her energy out as if it was a second limb, grabbing, moving, or tearing at whatever was in her way. The golden energy accumulated under her skin, pouring from her actual pores. Not to toot her own horn but she was overwhelmingly powerful. The pack used that to their advantage, she had just turned twenty three, marking her tenth year bound to this pack.

The brand on her thigh throbbed at the thought. It'd been enchanted when they purchased the three of them for labor and magic. Since Elora was the oldest and the largest threat she had her powers restrained. She could only use what they determined appropriate and was not permitted outside certain borders.

As she gave them more drills to better their control she stilled. When Elora felt another's presence the boys stopped and she glanced over her shoulder as the pack Beta approached.

Malakai snarled and smoke rose off of his skin, as it does when he is angry. Elora adjusted her glasses and looked at him unbothered.

"Can we help you?" Her voice was curt as she turned to him fully. She crossed her arms over her chest as she stared up at him.

"Alpha Lenovo is demanding you in the court tomorrow at sunrise. There's a threat approaching and you are to greet them. You know the drill."

She exhaled through her nose and nodded once. The Beta met Malakai's gaze and smirked.

"Watch your back Hound. We've got plenty of brands for all of you freaks. You're lucky your sister took one for the team."

The whites in Malakai's eyes were diluted in red as he bared his canines. Elora found out as the boys grew older one parent had to be 100% hell hound and the other was a witch or warlock. Which leads to their odd mixture of powers.

"Enough!" She barked. She ran her hands down her dress and looked at the wolf, "I'll be there, now if you're done instigating we'll continue."

We all watched as he left and she turned to a seething Malakai. Elora pressed her hands to his shoulders and ignored the burning of her skin.

"Get it together," Elora hissed. Lucas muttered something quickly before water fell from the sky and onto their brother. She smirked as steam rose from his body and watched him calm down.

"That's enough for today," She wrapped her arm around Lucas's waist. Malakai walked ahead of them and refused to look at her. She sighed and rolled her neck forward to stretch it out.

"He just worries when you go out," Lucas spoke hesitantly.

"I know," Elora sighed.

"No. You don't. I know you know just about everything going on, but this is one thing you don't get. We can't do anything to help you Ellie. We're completely fucking useless."

Elora looked up at him before slowing to a stop. She pushed her glasses to rest on her forehead. Their yellow eyes met.

"I'm only living because of you two. You are my life, I'd die before they branded either of you and they know that. You're not useless," She turned to Malakai who had also stopped walking.

She directed her words to both of them, "You are not useless. You're family, you're all I have."

Lucas, who also towered over her pressed his hand to the back of her head and kissed her forehead before they all walked to their cabin.

"I want you to start perfecting the protection ward," Elora spoke when the three of them fell into line. She walked between the two and ignored their confused looks.

"Somethings going down, we're not going to have any help. With the ward I can insure you guys safety."

Malakai huffed, "and what about you? That's always the question at the end of the day."

She shrugged. "I'll be fine, always am." Elora ended the conversation there as they approached home. She kicked her boots off and fell on the couch. She laid on my stomach and ignored the boys for just a moment. She felt a hand reach for her glasses and swatted them away. She quickly drifted off as they trudged to their rooms.
