The Frozen movie was based on a original fairy tale written by Hans Christian Anderson, which was called the Snow Queen. If you are going to ask, yes they have a snow queen, yes the main character has a threat of being turned into ice and yes, a person goes on a crazy journey to find a sibling. However in the fairy tale a whole lot of things are different that includes the Snow Queen being evil.

Once upon a time a troll had a mirror. When someone looked into the mirror, it reflected the worst of the person. The troll took immense delight in this and showed this mirror to everyone he encountered. One day the mirror shook so badly that it finally broke into pieces and these pieces were scattered into the wind. Remember that if someone got this piece of mirror stuck into them like their eye or hand, they saw the worst evil in everything as one piece of the mirror held the power of the whole mirror.

In a distant village a boy Kay and a girl named Gerda lived. Some facts say that they were best friend neighbours, but we going to go with brother a sister. One day when the clock struck twelve  a piece of the troll's mirror flew into Kay's eye and the other in his heart. He changed and started to see the worst in everything.

All he had to do was arrange the pieces of ice to form the word "Evigheden" which means eternity. Gerda managed to pass the snow flakes only to find Kay almost frozen. She wept on him and her love for him melted his frozen heart and removed the mirror pieces. They rejoiced and danced around making the ice pieces bounce around to form the word eternity and they returned home safely. They lived happily ever after.
