"Actually he's adopted after a few incidents back in his homeland he came here originally for a break and the rest well it's a better story inside and away from" Mom said gueasturing to me

"You should have told me I've always wanted a grandson" She smiled

I gave her a soft one in return. "Well an old friend of mine is going to perform a coming of age ceremony for Marinette" Mom said

The friend being my father. "Oh and are you still friends with that Garmadon fellow he might have been evil once but I have a soft spot for those who take initiative" She said

I almost choked on air she was talking about my father. "He actually came back from the Realm of the Departed not that long ago and he's well my biological father" I told her nervously

"Well you can fill me in later. Today is my Granddaughter's birthday and we are going to have fun" She smiled a bit to brightly before dragging Marinette off to who knows where.

Once the door closed I turned to dad. "Well if we hustle we can still finish the cake in time" I told him

We got back to work and after twenty minutes my father was at the door. "Father" I said

"Lloyd where is Marinette?" He asked

"She's with Tom's mother Gina" Mom said

"You mean that rambunctious woman from your wedding?" Father clarified

"Yup same one" Dad replied

My father let out a sigh in annoyance. "I'm twice her age yet she was hitting on me in front of everyone" He shuddered

"Dad it's just for one day besides who knows maybe she's learned a little restraint" I told him

"I suppose" Father said

While he got the basics for the coming of age ready I finished helping mom and dad with the cake. Then the bell rang and it was Ari this time around. "Hey rea- pfht! Lloyd you are covered in frosting" She said barely holding back her laughter.

I looked at my phone to see that we had about twenty minutes to get to the park. "Shoot sorry lost track of time let me go throw something on that doesn't look like a cake tried to bombard me" I told her before dashing upstairs and throwing on a white t-shirt with a plaid green over shirt.

I then rushed back downstairs just as Grandma Gina arrived. "Are you..? " I stated to ask her

"Your papa was right she's to old to spend time with her Nana now" She heavily sighed

"Lloyd you coming?" Ari asked

"Yeah" I said

"Should we..?" She asked once we got out of earshot

"Definatly." I replied we arrived at the park with ten minutes to spare

"Lloyd your just in time" Zane said

"Where's that cake?" Cole asked

"It's coming later Cole chill for now we just have to Surprise Mari" I told him sternly

Cole pouted a bit. Ten minutes later Alya showed up with a blind folded Mari. When she removed it we all shouted "SURPRISE!"

"Guys thank you" Mari said

Nino started the music up just as a tree was turned into charcoal. "Marrinetta" The woman said

"Grandma!" Mari said

I silently gaped at the scene.

Cole used his hammer arm to erect a wall of earth between Mari  and the guests from our currently akumatized Grandma.
