Wait why was I not made aware of this sooner-

Well shiz

Guess I'm doing it now

 Calm

Error stretched his legs out from his place on the couch, then returned to his curled up position.

It was deeply relaxing to just...do nothing.

Especially on a cold day like this.

Cross and Nightmare were, for once, joining him in doing nothing.

Well...

That was a lie.

Nightmare was between Cross and Error, trying to conserve warmth between the three beings that don't give off a lot of body heat to begin with.

Cross was shivering like mad, and trying without success to steal the blanket.

Said blanket around them was warm and insulating.

Although Kevin's body heat, from when the chicken sat in Nightmare's arms, helped, too.

But it was still calm.

Burn

The pain was unbearable.

The pain was constant.

But no one suspected.

No...

Dream wouldn't let them know.

Know how his own power, everyone's 'saving light', was slowly turning him into charcoal from the inside out.

At first, it hadn't been so bad.

It had even been...

Pleasant.

But with the centuries, the burning of the light became stronger, hungrier.

It wanted to consume him.

But he refused.

Because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Depart + Return

Turning the key in the lock until it clicked, Blue vaguely wondered where he would go today.

He'd already finished work, so who could he go pester?

On the other hand...

...Heh.

It had been while, hadn't it?

With a small smile, he started his journey.

Soon enough he was sitting cross-legged on an asteroid, far out away from the rest of Outertale.

Even the small difference in the amount of light was enough to bring out the few dimmest stars.

Because Stardin didn't have enough stars already.

But honestly?

The journey was always worth it.

Chained

"Let me GO!"

But his cries were ignored.
