You know, maybe I was wrong. It's been three months since Spinel's attack and the repairing of Beach City and I've had no work to do since. So. . Perhaps I DO live a happily ever after? Might wanna ask Garnet later. Anyway, I'm in the mood for a bit of Funland!
Alright, here I am at the arcade. Hmm, what should I play first? Meat Beat Mania? Wait, there's a big queue. Whacker Man? Hang on, Peridot's playing that. Wait. Hang on. Wait a minute! What's she doing here? And why is she wearing her old uniform? Did she get. . poofed? Only one way to find out.
As I approach Peridot, she glances back at me and says "Oh, hey Steven! What's up?" Damn, she's good at this game! "Peridot! Hey! Wwwwhat are you doing here?" I respond. "I just recently decided to give this Beach City a chance and I actually really dig it here! Way more fun than Homeworld!" The cutie responds. "Oh, what do you know? You have an open mind on this shit. Nice." "Heheh, thanks Stevie. Notice anything different about me?" She asks as she whacks those puppets at 1oomph. "Yes, I was actually just about to ask you: Did you get poofed? Why have you gone back to your old form?" I say. To be honest, I actually prefer her old form over her new one, so best of luck that this isn't just indecisive experimentation or some shit like that. "I poofed myself after discovering what guns are so that I could get this look back! I was just experimenting with physical form when I got poofed two years ago." "It took you two years to decide what suits you better, huh?" "Oh, shut up!" We both chuckle and giggle. This distracts Peridot and she misses a Whacker Man puppet, causing her to finally lose and a plethora of tickets to be ejected from the machine. "Dammit!" She yells playfully. I burst out laughing. She gently punches me on the shoulder. "Yeah, I'd like to see you try!" She gives me this smug look. God, she's so cute. . Such a treat to be around. . I think. . I think I have a crush on her. I've never had a crush before. . Oh man, I've been waiting for this moment!! EEP!! So this is what the discovery of romantic feelings feels like, huh? Am I blushing? I think I look flustered. "Steven, you look flustered. Hey, are you blushing?!"
