Leaving Me

(Madison's POV)
I thought I told you to be home early and you disobey me he says grabbing me by the hair and throwing me down the stairs of the basement
I wince of pain trying to stand but he grabs the belt in his right hand and hits  me a few times and shoved me in my corner and locks me up
Don't you ever disobey me again he says and leaves

I just sit there sobbing for a few hours where I had gotten to the point where I had enough

The only light in my room was the alarm clock on the cement floor to wake me up for work and it read 2:18am

I've been saving up every penny secretly for the past 5 years and have gotten enough to buy an apartment and to live off of for a few days... I try and try for at least an hour to get out of these chains then I hear a snap and my hand finally breaks free unraveling the other one I quickly but quietly feel around for the loose brick in the wall and grab the wad of cash stashed in the walls and grab my work backpack and work my way over to the ground level window and pry it open and start to quickly crawl through but immediately get tugged by two arms trying to pull me back into the room I try kicking until I hit them right in the mouth and hear them yell and I quickly squirm out and start sprinting down the street looking back seeing my dad trembling down the stairs holding his jaw screaming but I can't hear him I run a few blocks down until I stop to catch my breath and I start sobbing not in a bad way but I'm a free way as if I got away...so I thought

It's about 5 am and the cafe opens pretty soon but today is my day off so I just get a hotel and sleep there for the night
I open the room and almost cry because I haven't ever slept in an actual bed before I walk over and lay down and start to sob thinking that I finally did it and to soon drift to sleep

I wake up and it's about 8am and I immediately got my stuff and rushed out I ended up walking around down town until I ran into a building that had a sign that had said apartments available I immediately walk in and fill out an application and gave the lady my form
I sat in one of the chairs waiting if I would be qualified and an older lady walked in with short white hair and circular glasses with a long church dress

Well your application has been accepted we will get with you in a few days

Umm is there anyway I couldn't get it today I don't really have a place to stay

I will go and check she says with a slight smile

Honestly I feel like I have a fresh new start with a whole new life My thoughts are ripped out by the lady walking in

Cash I say and she seems shocked

I give her the full 100,000in cash and walk to my door and take a deep breath and hesitantly walk in my breathing stops when I walk in everything is surprisingly really nice I shut the door behind me and start squealing like a little girl and start to look around

I love it 1 bedroom 1 bath but it looks hella nice for just me
I decide to go out and get groceries when I accidentally bump into someone outside my door

I just shrug it off and go to the store

(Ethan's POV)
Did I just call her Madi
Eww I quickly shook that off
I walk down stairs and go on a walk down town passing all the families and kids running around playing and laughing
I missed that.... I started to think but immediately snapped out reminding myself where I am I head towards down trails that lead down to a lake only me and Gray knew about it was clear with a small dock and a bench on a small hill I sat on the bench looking over the sunset admiring the view while it lasted I decided to walk back because it was getting dark and for some reason Madison crossed my mind how her long brown hair and blue eyes and that cute little freckle above the side of her lip
What the fuck Ethan you can't be falling for this girl you don't deserve anybody especially what you did
You deserve to be alone I kept telling myself I ended up in front of my door step putting the key into my door and walking into my kitchen to chug down another bottle of whiskey and cry my night away

( I know this chapter was a little rushed about her escaping and stuff but don't worry it might not be for long we will see😈 but I want to keep this book suspenseful and full of surprises because why the fuck not but I will be posting shortly❤️)
