Ch 11 Like

Tahani: Hey Joshyyy I was wondering if you wanted to go bowling with me this weekend
and maybe get dinner afterward 😉

Josh: Yeah sure Saturday should be good
Josh: Why are you texting so weirdly anyways?

Tahani: I'm not texting weirdly 🙂

Josh: Okay but yeah I'll invite Julian or somebody
Josh: so I won't be the only guy with all you girls

Tahani: Um actually
Tahani: I was just hoping for just us two

Josh: Um okay
Josh: Text me the info
Josh: See ya Saturday 😜

"Okay, now that we got you two all alone it's now up to you!" Bailey said giving Tahani her phone back

"I hate you," Tahani said as in not even 10 minutes she went from having just a small crush on someone who sees her as a sister to having a pseudo date with him in less than 3 days

"I love you too," Bailey said

"Bailey he obviously still likes Kaycee this isn't even a good time," Tahani said

"Josh still likes me?" Kaycee said as Tahani nodded "But he hasn't texted me since the sleepover"

"Well you just saw Tahani imagine texting someone you like but something else such as not knowing their level of interest is a factor in your case dating his best friend," Bailey said "If you want just text him"

"Okay," Kaycee said about to text Josh "Um..."

"Great now she's all awkward about texting Josh," Tahani said as she shifted her attention "Why are you pushing so hard for me and Josh and for Kaycee to get over Josh?"

"Because I don't want everything that went down at Sean's to be something everyone regrets..." Bailey said "I know I'm not completely over it but I was the one confronted about it Josh and Kaycee never got to let that side out"

"You just don't want you losing Sean to be for nothing," Tahani said as Bailey nodded

Julian's Apartment

"Why do you keep staring at your phone?" Sean asked Josh

"I don't know I was texting Tahani, and I accidentally touched Kaycee's and I just keep seeing the bubbles pop up," Josh said referring to the bubble when someone is typing

"Maybe she feels as awkward about it like you do," Julian said "Obviously she likes Sean but you did become one of her closest friends because of prom and everything afterward, and from my perspective, it would feel weird to go from texting with probably some subtle flirting to just texting normally knowing things weren't fully closed"

Sean knew this but after Julian vocalized the Josh and Kaycee's perspective something about Kaycee his now girlfriend and Josh his best friend being into each other at the same time started to bother him, not in an angry but he now sees why Josh doesn't want to talk about it "... You were texting Tahani?" Sean said

"Yeah we're planning on going bowling Saturday," Josh said "Probably get some food after"

"I've noticed you and Kaycee haven't announced to the world you are together yet," Julian said referring more to the social media world "Obviously we know and your families know but no one else"

"I think most people assume Sean's still with Bailey but after a while, people will pick up the hint," Josh said despite the month-long relationship the two never posted much online so from the outside looking in Sean either is still with Bailey or it was just a prom thing
