117. After the high....

"Do you have to creep about like that?" She muttered as she bent to pick it up, making sure to lock the screen.

"Good morning to you too liebe." He sauntered over to her, carrying a pair of muddy trainers in his hand.

"Jesus Seb, look at the state of you!" Chloe pulled a disgusted expression as he came to a stop beside her chair. He had black sports leggings on under his shorts and they were splattered with mud, somehow he'd got also got it on his grey hoodie and even a few splatters on his face. He gave her a cheeky grin and looked rather pleased with himself, he didn't mind getting mucky, in fact he enjoyed it.

"We went along a track we don't usually use and got reminded why we don't use it."

"How the hell have you got it on your face?" She asked, trying not to break into a smile at his reaction. He held his free hand up to her, it was filthy.

"Antti had me doing press ups, squats and lunges."

"And where is Antti now? Getting the hosepipe out to hose you both down with?"

"No, he's gone back to his place, I've got the rest of the day free to spend with my favourite girls." He bent down and kissed the top of her head. "Fancy showering with your husband before we no longer have the house to ourselves?" Chloe could hear his smile in his voice.

"Let me finish my coffee first." She reached for her mug,

"Are you seriously putting coffee ahead of taking a shower with your husband?" He raised a brow.

"I don't want it to go cold. You go up, I'll join you in a few minutes."

"No, come up with me now." He held his hand out to her and pouted.

"Your hand is filthy Seb."

"Just like the rest of me." He replied back quickly, winking.

"And pouting will get you nowhere."

"Maybe not." He took her mug of coffee and put it back down on the table. "But this...." He then took her hand and placed it on his groin. "....this usually gets me everywhere with you." He watched as her eyes widened and a slow, sexy smile spread across her lips. "So, are you coming or not?"

"Hey! Hier sind meine zwei schönen Mädchen!!" (Here are my two beautiful girls!!) Seb knelt on the floor, his arms open wide, the biggest smile on his face as Mia and Leonie cane charging over at full speed. He let himself fall backwards as he wrapped his arms around them both, taking them with him, hugging them tightly as they both giggled and showered him with little kisses.

"Hi." Hannah walked in after them, reminding Chloe that his ex obviously still had a key to the house.

"Hello Hannah." She tried to act casual, aware that this was the first time she'd seen Hannah for quite some time and the first time she'd seen her now that herself and Seb were married.

"Safe to say they've missed him." Hannah smiled at the sight of him laying on the floor with their two children who had now gone quiet and were just enjoying cuddles with their father.

"Yeah." Was all Chloe could say, the scene in front of her giving her a painful jab at her own fight to get pregnant.

"Congratulations on the wedding." Hannah handed Chloe an envelope. "I'm happy for you, both of you."

"Thank you." She relaxed a little as she took it, remembering that Hannah had moved on and was no longer a threat. Opening the envelope she pulled out a card, on the front it said; 'As you begin your journey together, wedding wishes for my father and stepmother' together with a underwater themed cartoon style image of two turtles swimming up from a bed of flowers. The lump in her throat was instant, as were the tears in her eyes when she saw Mia's and Leonie's writing inside it.
