Kaede POV:

It's a new day and I'm reeally happy about it! I'm going to my new school today!!

The elite of the elite!

The top of the top!

Hope's Peak Academy!!

And most of all, I'm gonna see my favourite bestest friend ever, Shuichi Saihara!!

Anyway!

Sh- All my classmates are really cool and I'd love to see them again!

So I sprang out of my bed, got dressed, ate breakfast (all while blushing profusely).

"So... who's the boy?" My twin Kanon teased.

"Nobody!! It's none of your business, really!" I screeched. 

She just giggled as she moved on....

I don't trust that.

I realllllly don't.

I said my goodbyes to my grandma and sprinted..

well not really i took the bus.

It was a long way from Hopes Peak but it was definetly worth it!! 

I could see Maki and Kaito (more of my classmates). Maki was doing her super cute pout thing that made me get suspicious.

She always did it around Kaito so I think she may have a crush!

"Yo! Kaede!" came VERY loud voice from next to Maki, Kaito really.

Maki punched his arm which just made him scream louder,

"Do you even shut up?" Maki said very sternly. Kaito just sobbed.

Then I heard a voice from behind, a warm familiar one,

one that made my heart pound....

Shuichi POV:

Before I could sit down I saw her.

Kaede Akamatsu, my one true hope. 

I don't get it?? How does she make everything so warm and fuzzy!? I really don't...

Anyway, I saw her teasing Maki, but she hadn't taken a seat yet.

"Hey Kaede" I greeted.

"Shuichi~!!" She jumped.

 No literally, she pounced on me. Knocking my hat off.

We both sat there blushing, on the bus. Luckily there was a private bus for Hope's Peak, if it was a normal I would've melted on the ground.

I really really really liked Kaede, but she probably didn't feel the same about me.

Maki just chuckled, while Kaito snorted.

"Pst-!" Kaito attempted to whisper, "What should we call them?"

"Shuichi and Kaede?" Maki just blinked.

"No!! I mean like... a ship name," Our faces just went red after that, redder than Himiko's hair.

"Uhhh.... I really don't car-"

"Saimatsu~" Said a mischeivious voice came from the back.

"KOKICHI???!" we all screamed, even Maki.

"Nishinishi~!" Kokichi sneered, "I heard you were in need of a ship name for these two lovebirds!" We all just stood there blank eyed, "Plus it's become offical since last year.

Yours truly~☆"

Me and Kaede just shuffled to seats, still red-faced. Nobody spoke the rest of the ride.

When we got to the school gates everyone seemed to forget what happened, and we were all dumbstruck.

Nobody's POV

It was true. 

The first step into the school was always filled with HOPE.
