He heard the shouts from outside and he knew. It was over, it was all over. They kicked down the door and stormed into the townhome.
Tears dropped onto his suit jacket and stained his white shirt, but he held a smile as they made the arrest.
"James Anothny Mason you are under arrest for the murder of Morgan Ried, Sylvester Markman, Damon Chelsea, Elizabeth Warren, and Lance Burgess. You have the right to remain silent. Anything --"
"Jonah! Find Jonah!"
"Sir I need you to calm down" the officer said and escorted him from the house.
"Please don't leave him there. Jonah Elias Corey! He was in the house please!" Jack managed to get free of the officers grip and run back into the house. He searched all of the rooms trying to stay away from the police and found the most horrific scene.
Jonah was lying face up on the bathroom floor. The mirror had been smashed and blood drenched his body. Jack rushed to his side and tried to wake him up but he was too late, he was dead.
