Part Twenty Five: The Flashback

Rarity stood in the cellar doorway.

"I'll get help!"

And... She left.

Rainbow tackled the earth pony to the floor and took the knife out of her hooves.

"Pinkie Pie! What are you doing? Are you insane? Why!" She demanded, her eyes gleaming with water.

"Because AJ wasn't sharing!" Pinkamena cried, her own eyes too becoming wet. She didn't try to escape.

"What! Wasn't! She! Sharing!" Rainbow demanded once again. She gripped the knife tight.

"YOU!"

The world hung in silence. Rainbow tilted her head down. Her multi-colored mane covering her gorgeous face. Pinkamena Diane Pie looked away in shame. Blood poured out of her wound.

"Pinkie," Rd began, still not revealing her face. "I know... I know you like me. B-but this... This is terrible." She glanced over at the beaten orange body.
"AJ! D-did you k-kill..."

"No!" The sad mare yelled, covering her face up with her hooves. Rainbow stood there, tears dripping onto Pinkamena's chest. Rd stared at Twilight, who was unconscious from pain, and Applejack.

Poor AJ. She'd been beaten down to her apple core...

"Why?"

Pinkamena thought for a second before replying, "Because I still love you."

"That's nice!" Dash said a little too quickly. Her sudden change of mood terrified Pinkamena. "But if you truly loved me, maybe you wouldn't have tortured my marefriend and one of my best friends!"

"But you hated Twi!"

"I forgive her!" She screamed, Rd's moist pink eyes making more tears that just fall into Pinkamena Diane Pie.

"But... No! You... You are a monster! She cried for mercy, I bet, and you didn't even think about it! Why? We were friends, Pinkie! We were! But now I'll never forgive you."

"...Dashie..?" Pinkamena croaked, her mane flatter than ever. "I understand."
She flashbacked.

The time Rainbow rejected her.

That's okay.

The time Rainbow made her try to kill herself.

That's okay.

The time she hurt herself for Rd.
That's okay.
