selina kyle put her criminal days behind her after becoming pregnant with her daughter helena. the girls father was a gang leader who selina had previous relationships with, she knew for a fact the man didn't want a child so she never told him. she raised helena by herself and taught her everything she needed to know to fend for herself incase anything ever happened to her.
