It wasn't that Glen didn't try, he was beside her throughout it all, except when the psychiatrist came in. She'd subtly asked for Glen to go away then, he'd been hurt, she'd seen it in his eyes, but she was feeling suffocated by his hovering. And that was her moment she could be alone, of course he was gone to change, she'd force him to go home. But the guilt was slowly consuming her and she wouldn't talk about it. And during that she pushed Glen away a bit more each day.

But the longer the intensive training lasted the harder it got for Kate. She'd made a huge leap from being in a coma for almost twelve days. They were talking about maybe letting her go home in order for her to celebrate Arthur and George's birthday at Anmer. It wasn't like she'd been having the best care possible already. She was sick and tired of being in this hospital, the constant reminder of what had happened. As if her arm being in a sling and the bandage on her stomach wasn't enough of a reminder.

Four days before Arthur's birthday Kate was downstairs at the revalidation room had been set up for her. She was standing on a mat working with the ball. "I can't do this anymore." Kate gasped out for breath, sinking through her legs and onto the mat. This therapy no matter how grateful she was for it, it was slowly killing her. Being cooped up in this damn hospital, no matter the luxury was killing her. If the injuries hadn't killed her, this certainly would.

It had been 24 days since the attack on the museum, since the shooting, since she'd been injured and she was sick of it. Sick of being cared for like a porcelain doll. Like she was going to break at any moment, she needed room to breath. She'd been in training for 11 days now and she was so sick of it, training wouldn't do anything about the fact that she would have to wear a sling till Autumn at least. Her shoulder bone had been shattered by the bullet and would need PT for a long time to come. Her stomach was mostly healed and was completely closed off. A fresh scar was covering the left side of her stomach though.

All she wanted was to go home, the plan was for her to go home in three days, but she couldn't wait that long anymore. And that was if the doctor cleared her in the first place. But she was ready to go home now and spend time with her family and son. Plans had already been made that she'd spend most of the summer at Anmer hall to get through her recovery proces. The Queen had even invited her to Scotland as well for when she was allowed to fly. And it was a yearly journey she made, always and in a way she was looking forward to it. It was already over the middle of July and she was ready to get home.

Catherine and William had promised her they were going to help her through her recovery along with Glen and all the people she needed for it around her.

"Yes you can love." Glen told her as he went to sit down beside her on the mat as she burst out in tears. She'd already been diagnosed at this point by Dr Charles with PTSD. Every night she'd wake up screaming from nightmares. She'd jump at the faintest of sounds. A door closing a bit to hard or a chair scraping. All of it was enough to make her jump through the roof. It didn't help that most of the world knew her business either.

"You've made it so far already sweetheart." Glen told her with an encouraging tone, he was so proud of her. She'd made it so far already in so little time. He knew she was exhausted both mentally and physically, he could see it in her eyes. But he couldn't let her give up, they needed to fight through this. He pulled her in his arms, his hand rubbing up and down her back as she continued to cry in her chest. Her sheer determination to get herself so far had left them all astounded, a real breakdown hadn't happened yet. But they all knew that it could come any moment and they were keeping a watchful eye on her, all of them.

Her shoulder however was the biggest worry at this point though. It was kept in a sling at all times, except for when she was at PT. To prevent any movement at all. they hadn't talked about the fact that they'd lost their baby either.
