Days pass, nothing gets better. If anything, I seem to get uglier.
Every time there's an ache in my chest, I hope it's my heartstrings snapping. I await death, but my patience is growing thin.
The castle seems so small, despite how large it really is. To keep my days from dragging out painfully slow, I try to clear the dust from all of the surfaces.
Even though I'm so far from the village, I don't dare risk being seen by going outside. Dusting and eating the stale breads from the kitchen is all I can do.
There was a piano in the middle of the giant main room, and I tried to play it, maybe teach myself. To my despair, the keys were too fragile and broke.
