kennedy's pov
ethan eventually came back upstairs with enough snacks to last through the zombie apocalypse.

"do you think you grabbed enough food e?" i chuckled lightly
"nope" he said popping the 'p'

i giggled at the boy who now had every snack ever to exist and was pulling me closer to him on his bed so he could wrap his arm around my waist securely.

something he always did that i loved the feeling of... but i would never tell him that

after about 4 or so movies i look over my shoulder to see ethan asleep and producing light snores. i kiss his forehead and he just cuddles me tighter.. i feel my eyes get heavy as i fall asleep in his bed.

i wake up the next morning and slowly flutter my eyes open.. i pat ethan's spot on the bed but soon realized he's not in it leaving me with a slight frown on my face. i wander downstairs to the kitchen bc when am i not eating? 😂
only to be faced with a shirtless ethan in his grey sweatpants trying to make my favorite chocolate chip pancakes. i smile at the boy and walk over to him quietly- he looks really concentrated - i approach him and put a hand on his shoulder making him jump
i chuckle

"JESUS KEN DONT DO THAT WHEN IM NEXT TO A F-I-R-E" he exaggerates
"oh whatever just feed meeee!"
we both laugh at our stupidity..

3 hours later ethans pov
ken had left to go home not to long ago yet i already miss her
i drive over to ask if she wants to go to the beach later..
yes it'll be perfect, i'll even ask her to homecoming!

kennedy's pov
i now sit in my room scrolling through social media on my phone when i get a text from my friend jack

"hey ken"
"what's up jack"
"is it okay if i come over to your house?"
"yeah sure what for?"
"you'll see😉"

i sit down on my bed watching netflix..
tbh i'm just rewatching my favorite shows bc i've already watched them all and there's nothing to watch (does this happen to anyone else🤧😂)

i get through half an episode of the flash when the doorbell rings
i sigh and get up to get it
i open the door to jack standing there with a sign that says
"we've got stranger things to do than wait for season 4.. hoco?" (i'm so unoriginal🤡)
i put my hand over my mouth and slightly gasp

"oh my god" i say surprised
"is that a yes?" he asks hopeful
i was at a loss for words so i just nodded at him
he walks over to me with the sign and we hug
we pull away after a minute and out of the corner of my eye i see ethan standing by his car at the end of the driveway with a sign that has my name on it asking me to homecoming...

we make eye contact as he's throwing away the sign. his eyes held a look of hurt and sadness. eyes glossy and everything. he was crying.

i don't think i've ever wanted to cry so much in my whole life...

ethans pov
okay my sign is finished finally wait - should i text her and ask to come over? no i'll surprise her.
i get the sign in my car and drive over putting on tame impala to calm my nerves.
i park at the end of the driveway only to see jack at her door also holding a sign...
she opens the door and after seeing the sign she nods her head and he walks over to hug her.
at this point i didn't even know i was crying until i felt the water slide down my cheek...

they pull away and i see her look at me, i quickly wipe the tears away and throw my sign away seeing as she won't need it...

she probably just said yes bc she didn't want to be mean..
she doesn't like him right?
