Clouds on the run,
Sun's race forever endless,
And I ask for a second one,
But Time is relentless.

—...

I want to cherish
The scene before me;
If our fate is to perish
I ask for a chance to flee.

—...

Her eyes on me, longing,
And I stop, a desperate attempt
To within this thronging
Find some peace, some true belonging.

—...

Yet, my tries are for nothing,
For no matter what I do
Time is like unwanted clothing,
Warms a heart to split it in two

—...

As I look at you right now,
I can't help but drown in thoughts.
It's not a matter of where or how,
But when will I lose you to Time?

explanation
"= The poem is based on a painting
titled "Woman with a Parasol"
by Claude Monet!
Monet is one of the greatest
representatives of impressionism,
which is an art style that was
supposed to express the way
time keeps going and nothing lasts.
In this particular painting you can
see it easily, looking at the Woman's
face, which seems as though it
was fading away with the wind,
following the moving clouds.

"= In my opinion, this painting
expresses also some sort of longing
for a moment to just stop everything.
The woman on the painting looks
as if she was going somewhere,
but stopped suddenly to turn around
and look at us. I believe it's safe to
say that her actions were a result of
ours. We were supposedly going
somewhere with her when suddenly
we stopped, perhaps looking for
a second to just breathe and escape
the world, she turns around looking
as us with an "Are you going?" kind
of expression. The dynamics of the
surroundings and the woman herself
inform us however that no matter
how much you may try, you'll never
be able to just "stop". You may
stop physically, but time keeps going
and so does everything around you.
And it will always affect you and
your loved ones too.

And it will always affect you andyour loved ones too
