I always thought of myself as a city girl.

I was also scared of bugs.

I never really liked the colors green, brown, and blue.

Earth Day was never my favorite holiday and I hated it quite a lot (mostly because my twin brother Jack poured glue all over my head during the earth day project in the 7th grade).

So I don't understand why Grandma Lucille chose to go to the Adirondacks of all places to try to unite the family or whatever.

But of course, not everything is about me. I suppose I just wish people would start asking me what I thought or what I wanted. Not just base their conclusions on the poor state of my family.

Okay. Let me introduce myself, my name is Quinn Amanda Clark and I am currently 16 years old. I have bright grey eyes and choppy creamy brown hair.

My family is screwed up, and I live with my grandma, twin brother, and my two parents who are on the verge of divorce. If they divorce it could mean the separation of me and Jack, my brother. That's why I let Grandma Lucille do what she does to try to keep them together.

This time, Grandma is making the family go on an all summer trip upstate to the Adirondaks. The Adirondaks are literally forest and earth. Grandma bought a HUGE cabin house with the money that she's been saving up since two years ago for a trip like this.

Apparently this is supposed to mend my family and also provide the "best summer ever". I told Grandma that I didn't want to be away from my friends. She said that Jack and I could bring two friends each with us.

After that, I wasted no time at all to run up to my room and start to text Katie and Maria my two best friends. They are literally my moral support and refuge.

I don't know who my brother invited, but then again, I didn't know most of his friends. In fact the only friend I knew of his was James. But he's Katie's brother so I have to know him.

Anyways, so here I am now. With my choppy hair pulled back into a bun and waiting on a response from Katie and Matia to see if they can go.

BZZZZZZZ  I jumped up from my seat and literally lunged for my phone to see the text that Katie sent me My parents said yes! :) It read. "YESSSSS" I squealed. Maria replied a minute after Katie. Awwww sry my mom said I can't ;(

Dammit. There was no way that I was going without Maria! She was the only one who could protect me if my brother invited some bozo to come. Hahahaha jk lmao I can totally go, would of went even if my mom said no :p. I let out a deep sign of relief. Maria was going. Katie was going. My life was complete.

"JAAAAAACK COME TO THE KITCHEN YOU DIDN'T DRINK ALL OF YOUR WATER" I giggles a bit grandma Lucille was so funny when it came to unfinished food or drink. One time, she went on a rant about kids in Africa

"BUT GRANDMA I'M NOT 5 ANYMORE YOU CAN'T TELL ME TO FINISH MY WATER." I swear, grandma treats jack like he's 6. It's hilarious. "QUINN WAS ALWAYS THE GOOD ONE, SHE FINISHES HER WATER AND VEGGIES WITH OUT ANY EXUSE" "QUINN IS ALWAYS THE GOOD ONE GRANDMA". I chuckled, grandma always saw me as the good girl because I never disagreed with anything she said. But that was mostly because I didn't really have a choice. Would you want to end up like Jack? Nope not meeeee!

All of a sudden I heard a loud curse come from the room next to mine, my parents room. Or should I say, my moms room. My dad refused to stay in the same room as my mom. So he slept on the couch since our apartment was so tiny and we didn't have any other room.

SMASH. Dammit there goes our second glass."CHRISTOPHER YOU BITCH HIW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT" "EXUSE ME GINNY!? YOU'RE THE ONE THAT REFUSED TO-" " QUINN!"

I shot up. I just relized I had been crouched down listening to mom and dads heated argument through the wall. "Quinn!" I looked up. Jack was standing at my door with a huge duffel bag and a massive suitcase.

"Grandma said to give you these because we need to pack, she says we're leaving in a couple days." "Oh. Uhhhh thanks Jack. But can you like, knock next time?" I said through girted teeth. "Yeah sure sis" he said with a smirk. I could'nt help it, he looked so bad when he smirked. "Jack stop smirking you look like a player" I laughed.

"Hey hey I know your just jealous of my better looks, you know I got all the better genes" he said sticking his tounge out at me." I fake gasped. "You bitch! I'm twice as good looking than you'll ever be!" "Right..." He said "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY ROOM JACK" I laughed as I grabbed the baggage and slammed the door in his face.

I turned to my room and blew a strand of hair out of my face. Sigh, It's time to pack.
