"Why not?" I say giggling, thinking about what he called Grayson and Ethan.

"He gives me a weird vibe. He was flirting with you the whole time."

"He was not. We were just talking."

"A guy does not give their seat up to some girl they're just talking too." Ethan adds in doing quotation marks with his fingers.

"Okay just because you guys don't have chivalry doesn't mean no one else has it." I snap back at them.

"You don't have to be a bitch Lilith. This night is about us, not you." Grayson says almost sounding like a growl.

"Of course it is, it's always about you guys. Heaven forbid I'm acknowledged." I roll my eyes, turn around, and walk away.

"Lil..."

"No, it's fine! I completely understand. I'll just see you at home." I give a fake, weak smile before taking the last step and going into the event. I find an empty table and carefully sit down, leaning my crutches against the table.

A few minutes go by and i can see Grayson and Ethan from across the room, laughing and having a good time. No one has came up to me yet and i can feel the stares filled with judgment for sitting alone.

"Hey stranger." A sudden voice says making me jump. "Sorry i didn't mean to scare you again." he said followed by a giggle.

I give him a small smile and he furrows his brows looking around. "Why are you sitting alone?"

"Um, we got into a fight."

"So they let you sit alone?"

I shift in my seat and change the subject. "Where's your girlfriend?"

"She got mad at me and went with someone else."

"Mad at what?"

He clears his throat and pulls out a chair, sitting down. "Apparently I was flirting with you. I don't know when but according to her, it happened."

"Dude, they literally said the same thing. You were just being nice and using common courtesy." I say laughing.

"That's what i said!!"

"Im Lilith by the way." I say as we're both laughing.

"I'm Vinnie."

"Nice to meet you Vinnie." I say as he gives me a crooked smile making me giggle.

It gets quiet for a second but is interrupt by Vinnie clearing his throat. "Hey, do want to get out of here?"

"And do what?" I ask a little concerned at what he's meaning.

"Relax, I'm not trying to hook up with you, but you and I are both here for someone else and we both got ditched by those people so we have no reason to be here..So lets go do something else."

I look back at Ethan and Grayson for a second before looking back at Vinnie and speaking. "Sure, why not."

Vinnie smiles and stands up. He hold out his hand and i grab it as he pulls me up. I tuck my crutches under my arms and follow him out the door.

The uber pulls up to my house and Vinnie looks at me in confusion. "Where are we?"

"My house, i need to change real quick. You can come in if you want." I say pushing open the door and carefully getting out.

Vinnie nods his head and follows me into the house.

I go to walk into my room but turn around to face Vinnie who was still standing in the living room. "Where are we going?"

"Just dress like you normally would." He says laughing.

"Okay." Right as i turn around to go back into my room, my phone starts ringing. I pull it out and look up at Vinnie. "It's Grayson..."
