Near a deep creek in a city named Ahavah, there sat a secluded suburban area. In this city rested a children's orphanage, the most renown and best kept one around: the B.A.L. Naturally, on the outside, there's parks, bunnies, and cute bears plastered everywhere creating a welcoming environment. Where the teachers promote learning and getting the best possible experience, despite having different origins. Bright colors, large windows, big chalk boards, and donated cloths and food to promote sustainable practices. They have a pet shop where they keep support animals for the students, along with a greenhouse for various plants and gardening hobbies. They are the number 1 recommended place for mothers to put their children if they are unable to keep them. "Embrace your life and trust us to keep them on cloud 9!" is their motto. However, just a few levels below, a bigger agenda is brewing beneath the surface. There, many children become subjected to...rebranding and experimental testing. This is a place where human experimentation is a way of life, is a new "norm".

"[Subjects 4261, 3295, 8627, 9411, and 2469 head to the 7th floor immediately! Stay quiet in the halls and timers begin now! If you are not in your halls in time, discipline will be effective immediately]!" Boomed the announcer's voice through the overhead.

"We have names you skewed rat!" Subject 3295 grumbled moving slowly from his cot. It made 8627's gears rotate.

"I have sensitive ears! Shut up!" She yelled mocking 3295, exaggerating his accent.

"Oh, ya got a set on ya to be mockin' me!" 3295 glared at her. His hair spiked and changed colors from brown to red.

"Ya darn tootin' ya fat smellin' pile of rubber." 8627 yelled back throwing her pillow at him, continuing to mock him.

"Spike and Gia shut up before I break the both of you." 9411 said floating off his bunk.

"Stupid!" Spike and Gia yelled in unison, making a face at him.

"Really guys? Only you two would fight this early in the morning..." 4261 yawned.

"Hurry up and get dressed before we don't get breakfast." She stood up.

Gia rolled her eyes and mocked 4216, "Get dressed before we don't get breakfast."

Spike shot one of his spikes at Gia, barely missing her arm as it stuck into the wall.

"How dare you...don't mock th' yungin!" Spike yelled at her snatching it back.

"Gia I'm starting to think your only ability is mocking people. They should've made you a parrot...locked you up and tamed you with crackers." 9411 said brushing his teeth.

"Bet you won't say it to my face, Richy. You animal brain freak." Gia said heading to the bathroom.

"Shut up." Richy slammed the door in her face.

"Oh no.." 4216 scrambled through her cubby.

"What's wrong Puff? Are you ok?" Spike asked looking for a way to help her.

"I can't find my glasses..." She whined. Spike looked at her with confusion.

"Ya never wear them old things, why do ya keep 'em?"

"My mother gave them to me; she told me to wear them when I got older. I don't know why but, they're special."

"Have ye ever felt different when trying them on?"

"No..."

"Well, maybe it has something to do with yer abilities, like seeing into the future with those bright eyes of yers." Spike smiled at Puff trying to make her feel better.

"Not when your only ability is crying." Gia remarked. Richy hit the door from the inside and it smacked Gia in the head, then opened it and glared at her.

"Must you always bully her?"

"It's not bullying it's the truth, bat breath." Richy and Gia started arguing back and forth. Puff started crying frustrated about her glasses and Spike was yelling at Richy and Gia while shooting spikes. 2469, a cinnamon-colored boy, dark brown hair with a yellow, orange, and red flair growing in the front left side of his hair. Who constantly had bandages wrapped around his eyes; a boy of few words and many thoughts slowly rose rubbing his eyes and yawned. He frowned and then stretched, electricity snapped through the room shocking everyone quiet.

"That hurt.." Puff said quietly while looking at her fried shirt.

"Morning sa-" 2469 shocked Gia again.

"You could glare at me if you uncover your eyes." She laughed.

2469 ignored her and proceeded to get dressed.

"[All subjects previously mentioned! You have 5 minutes to report to your halls! If you are not there in time, discipline will be effective immediate! This is your last warning!]"
