chapter two:
"it barfed!"

earlier today I got a call from alex saying that all the phones at his house were going crazy and that it was urgent that we come over

while we were walking down the streets I found myself looking at all the houses, it was finally starting to hit that we were actually moving away and our friendships were going to be over just like that.

I could tell munch was talking to me due to the humming of his voice, but he snapped me back to reality when he yelled my name

"ashley!!"

"sorry I was daydreaming..." i mumbled

"It's fine, should I call alex?"

"go ahead," he dialed his number and put it on speaker. alex picked up almost immediately

"de hello?"

"hey! alex"

"oh, you guys are outside."
stating the obvious

"no duh" I sassed

"hello to you too ashley" he laughed.

"get over here, over here, down the street." munch instructed

two seconds later I saw tuck and of course his camera peek through the window while me and munch started waving and jumping around

"did your guys' phones barf yet?" alex asked

"phones are still on point" I tell him

"cool, keep going, we'll meet you in the backyard." he said

"okay, copy that. I'll take swift steps." munch said, taking steps with a swinging motion

we went around the side through the broken fence and up the hill

I checked the phones. "guys, they all still work."

we went and set the phones by the tree and we all took two phones each. "dude, you know if this whole thing works, these phones are done." alex reminds my brother

"no I know, I have like 14 spares; it's okay."

"he's serious you should see he's room, have you even started packing munch?" I ask while laughing

they all chuckle.

"okay let's spread out, alex and ashley you guys go by the gate. munch, you go on the far end. and I'll stay right here" tuck orders

"got it"

while I was walking over to the gate alex came up to me and started talking,

"hey short stack" he called, knowing it bothered me

"shut up, I told you not to call me that!" I say lightly pushing him, only making him sway just a bit.

"what, I think it's cute!" his eyes widened and his hand flew to his mouth in shock, "wait did I just say that?" he mumbled, and turned to walk away from the awkward situation

there was a light tint of pink on his cheeks, and i was left there in confusion

"okay okay" munch calls as he starts walking around.

I start walking and I can feel alex's eyes watching me, what's with him today?

"okay it's good" he calls again

right when he put his arm to the left it started making these weird noises.

"holy shiz." I mumbled

"whoa, it barfed!" tuck exclaimed surprised

he ran to his camera and started talking to it. me and alex looked at each other surprised, laughed and ran over to the camera to show them the phones.

"mom said the murphys' phones and the churleys' changed, too." munch exclaimed.

"so what do think this is?" alex asked looking at me then at the guys.
