It was a normal Tuesday when Steph woke up from her dream about Dan and Phil playing with puppies.

She looked to her left and picked up her phone. 10:37. She always woke up late because she stayed up 'till 3 on Tumblr. After checking Twitter, she decided to finally get out of bed.

She got up and walked into her kitchen to see her dad making pancakes.

"Good morning, dadlester."

"Hey steph, how many panca- dadlester?"

"Yes?"

"Who the hell is dadlester?"

"You, isn't it?"

"No."

"But I've always called you dadlester. Ever since I could speak."

"No? You've always called me spork."

"What? News to me."

She pretended to check her phone so she didn't smile and give it away. Her brilliant, amazing, talented, and beautiful (jk) friend, Dru had given her the idea of calling her dad, dadlester for a day because her username was sadlester (go follow her #ad).

She agreed to it because she thought it was funny and wanted to see how her dad would react.

"So how many pancakes do you want?"

Steph's thoughts were interrupted and she quickly looked up.

"Um, two will be fine, thanks dadlester."

"Are you okay, Steph?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"You seem a bit outta sorts today. What's with this dadlester stuff?"

"I feel fine, dadlester. Don't worry."

"If you say so."

Dadlester continued making pancakes when his wife came out of their bedroom.

She walked over to him and started helping him with the pancakes.

"Good morning, sweetie."

"Good morning,"

Dadlester quickly dropped his voice and moved closer to his wife so Steph couldn't see what he was about to say. Which immediately caught  the attention of Steph so she watched with a silent smirk on her face, because she knew what this was about.

"Is something wrong with Steph?"

"No? I don't think so, why?"

"She's acting a bit strange this morning. She's calling me dadlester."

"What?"

"I don't know either."

"Did you ask her about it?"

"Yeah, she said it's what she's always called me since she could speak."

"I'd just ignore it for now, if she continues it, we'll take her in. Maybe something's not right in her head."

"Okay, honey."

Dadlester finished making pancakes as her brother and sister joined the table.

Steph poured herself a cup of orange juice and sat down.

She immediately felt her parents eyes locked on her.

"What?"

Her mother spoke first.

"Are you feeling okay, Steph?"

This got her siblings attention so they watched the scene before them with great interest in their eyes.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"Your father told me you've started calling him 'dadlester'."

"What do you mean started? I've been calling him that since I could talk."

Her siblings sensed some prank was in the works, but they were also curious as to how this would play out.

"No you haven't, Steph."

Her dad finally found words and spoke.

"Stephanie, cut it out. I don't know what this dadlester crap is but stop it."

"I don't know what you mean, dadlester."

They decided to let it go and continue eating.

Steph drank the last bit of orange juice from her cup and got up to brush her teeth and get ready.

She walked into the bathroom and smiled to herself in the mirror. So far she hadn't cracked. She was doing good keeping up her act and not revealing this is all a big joke.

She grabbed her toothbrush and applied some of the watermelon paste onto the soft bristles.

After she brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth, she grabbed her brush, but then decided against brushing her hair. It's the summer.

Who's gonna see her anyways?
