Operation 9: Ambush the Ambusher

Y/N POV.

Y/N: "*Whisper* Is she gone?"

Itami: "*Whisper* Affirmative, sir."

I'm hiding inside a room while Itami stays outside and watch for 'her'. I open the door and get out.

Y/N: "She's scary."

Itami: "It's kinda your fault."

Y/N: "All I did was thank her-"

Itami: "To distract the enemy's sniper."

Y/N: "Yes, I even thank her in advance for that."

Itami: "You always know how to make people angry."

Y/N: "Not people, just her. She's the only one who doesn't give a shit about me being the General of the whole army. Let's get out of here."

Itami: "Sir, you could just court mar-" I put a hand over Itami's mouth to stop him from saying that word.

Y/N: "Stop. That word gives me PTSD."

-Timeskip-

We get out of our hotel and walk on foot on the highway. To prevent more 'incident' we have SEALs followed us secretly. Everyone managed to calm Shino down before she can slit my throat.

Tanya: "I can't wait to go back to Moscow again."

Y/N: "We're not going back. *Mumble*At least, not yet."

Tanya: "What? Why?"

Y/N: "Because I said so." We came across a van parked on the roadside. I stopped making everyone stopped too.

Y/N: "Van on the roadside. Tanya, you're with me, the rest, stay here and wait for my signal." We approach a van undetected and catch the driver by surprise. We both point our guns at him.

Y/N: "Get out!" He didn't move.

Y/N: "Tanya." Tanya opens the door and drags him outside. He falls to the ground face first. He tried to get up but Tanya stomps her foot on his back, keeping him there. The rest walk toward us.

Itami: "What should we do with him?"

Shino: "I can shoot him if he's one of the bad guys, can't I?"

Tomita: "We both know you don't wanna do that. Are you still drunk or something?"

Shino: "What else are we gonna-" Her voice got cut off by me shooting that guy in the head.

They look at me weirdly.

Y/N: "What? I just save you a problem. Now get in. Tanya, you drive. I'll ride shotgun." We take his van and drive to Tokyo.

Itami: "You know, we shouldn't go straight to Ginza. They're gonna be waiting to jumps us."

Tomita: "I don't know...maybe it'd be better if we just went straight back through the Gate instead of staying here."

Lelei: "The Princess wants to ask you something. What's the point of all this running around when you're supposed to be our security detachment?"

Shino: "She's got a point! Why are we running? What are we doing?"

Pina: "Hang on...I think I'm starting to understand the situation here. But first, let me ask, am I going to be used as a political hostage?"

Itami: "Course not. That's not why we're here."

Pina: "I wish to believe you, Lieu-"

Y/N: "Sergeant Major."

Pina: "Sergeant Major. But we've had far too many transportation changes in the last few days. And our hotel, it would seem someone is out to get us, and I am in no rush to go with them. We came here to mediate negotiations between this world and the Empire. Because that needs to happen. But out there, are people who think you will be benefiting too much from this negotiation and they want a say in it. Do you understand?"
