Leo Valdez Imagine 1 - Fixed Swords and Broken Hearts

I ran to Bunker 9, tears running down my face. Matt had just broken up with me, after I found out he  cheated on me by kissing Drew. All I wanted was to see the only guy that cared about my feelings: my best friend Leo. I made it to the Bunker to find Leo sitting at his work desk, a picture in his hand and tears running down his tan cheeks. 

"Leo......" I whispered. He was looking at a picture of his mom. I saw him turn and his eyes widened. He looked at my red face and got up from his chair.

"(Y/N).... Who do I need to kill?" Leo walked toward me cautiously, as if I was a bomb that could explode any minute. I started to cry again and Leo pulled me into him, rubbing my back as he hugged me. 

"M-Matt.....H-He cheated on me...." I sobbed into his shirt. He stiffened and I looked up at him. His face was red and had an angry expression plastered on his face. I felt him start to heat up and I let go, not wanting to be set on fire by a mad Latino boy.

"Leo, don't. Please. I just want to stay here with you. Drew will break his heart eventually." I said and Leo looked at me with sad eyes. He calmed down and sat on the couch Nyssa brought to the bunker last week. I sat next to him and laid my head on his shoulder. We sat there for a while, cuddling. 

"Y'know, Matt didn't deserve you. He was being a doofus and you deserve so much better than him." He whispered into my shoulder as he nuzzled his face into my neck. I sighed and nodded, not wanting to admit my thoughts. I only dated Matt to push away my feelings for Leo, but the feelings were always there. I cared about Matt, but Leo always meant more to me. 

"You're right...... I shouldn't mourn about a jerk like him. Thank you Leo. I love you." I said and gave him a tight hug. He accepted my embrace and again put his face in the crook of my neck. 

I heard him mumble, "You don't know how much I love you...." I guess he thought I couldn't hear him. I pulled away and looked into his caramel eyes I loved so much. I gently tugged his grease stained shirt and pressed my lips against his soft ones. I felt his surprise, but he quickly recovered and kissed me back. We stayed lip-locked for what felt like eternity, until we pulled back for air. 

"I love you (Y/N). I always have. When I first brought you to camp from (Your School's Name) I knew you were the one for me. When you got together with Matt, I wanted to pound his face in. I don't know how to explain it.... I just - I love you." He grinned and I blushed.

"I love you Leo. I have always had feelings for you since the beginning. I only dated Matt to try and push away my feelings for you. I thought you didn't like me back. I realized how stupid I was for trying to stop my feelings for you. I love you Repair Boy, I always will." I said and Leo brought me in for another sweet kiss.
