Jedi Master Mace Windu had felt a disturbance in the magical power which held the galaxy together, The Force. He felt as if it was torn into a million fragments but he knew something worse was coming. He had seen it, in dreams before the Rift appeared, he saw legions of towering giants crushing the armies of the Republic and Separatists, he saw creatures more dangerous and corrupted than the monsters in nightmares but he had seen something else, a light.

"Master Windu." A person called for him.

"Yes." He replied and turned to see clone commander Goji standing at the entrance of his meditation chamber.

"The perimeter is secured, General, we are awaiting further instructions." The commander replied.

Windu began to feel the sounds of the outside crawling into his makeshift meditation chamber.

"Make sure no civilians get in, I don't want a riot to spread out if anyone sees this," Windu replied as he got up and walked out into the streets of Coruscant only he was at the bottom floor, clones built sandbag positions and formed barricades and strongpoints. The AT-RT walkers were the only vehicles small enough to be brought to the lower levels as well as some hover tanks.

The Jedi walked to a makeshift tower which acted as his headquarters, Clone troopers in purple, as was standard for those in the 187th Legion, stood at attention as their general walked past.  Above LAAT gunships flew past as they hurried to block any civilian vessel entering this restricted zone.

"What news do we have today?" Mace asked Goji as they stood at the towers highest level which was where the control centre was.

"Same as always General." The commander answered as he stared outside.

"Is there something bothering you commander?" Mace asked.

"No sir!" The clone replied. As Mace too stared at the scene outside. It was bothering, towering skyscrapers kilometres high had collapsed to form a massive metallic plain around the scene's most horrifying feature. A crack in space, time and in the Force.

"General somethings happening!" A clone working on a datapad exclaimed in fear.

"The readings are going off the charts!" The same clone exclaimed as he showed his general the datapad, it displayed info and charts that Mace did not clearly understand but even without the datapad he could tell something was wrong as the earth beneath them shook and the Rift seemed to grow in size before something came out of it.

"Men! Ready the troops!" Mace ordered as the shaking stopped and the clones gathered themselves. Instantly ordered the troopers to be prepared for any assault. Troopers grabbed blasters and weapons from the weapon caches and crews readied their vehicles and drove them to strategic chokepoints and strongpoints.

"Sir! The Rift!" A clone shouted as he pointed towards it. A red and hairy finger appeared from the Rift then it became an arm, then a body, then a head then it became a massive red beast, it looked demonic with its massive wings and muscular body, not to mention the strange dark aura which surrounded it.

"Blood for the Blood God!" A roar came out from the rift followed by a  roar from the beast. A mass of smaller red beasts came out along with men in large red armour wielding large box-shaped guns and axes, some had swords and others brought large guns with plasma stored in them and large cannons even larger than those of a hover tank. Vehicles covered in red paint and strange patterns rushed out with men ridding on the too howling "Skull for the Skull Throne!" as they held up skulls covered in skin and blood.

Bullets slammed into Mace's command centre and ripped apart two clone troopers and the clone sergeant. Blood splattered all over the room and on the destroyed equipment. An explosive shot from one of the strange vehicles blew Mace back and he slammed into the wall. He turned to find Goji looking at him, his eyes were grey and his helmet and armour were in pieces, blood covered his burnt head and body.

Mace could hear the cries and shouts of his men over the comms as they were drowned out by those of the roars of the hellish forces from the Rift and the sound of their guns ripping men and vehicles apart.
