there's a girl who sits in her backyard
smashing at her drums.
her hair is as golden as the sun and
her laugh is like an angel singing.
there's a boy who sings the
words to the song.
he has hair as black as charcoal
and eyes as blue as the ocean.
sometimes when they're happy they'll
climb to the top of the tree that separates his house
from her home.
and he'll sing her sweet
sweet melodies.
