Ch.1 New Start

Y/N POV

Sliding my employee ID to access the office building and check in , my heart starts to feel heavy knowing I'm going back to the place I used to see my partner everyday cranky and tired sipping his cup of coffee but now... He's gone and the bastard who took his life is still out there .  I sigh and rub the temples of my head walking up to the receptionist.

Y/N : " Anything new for me ?"

She looks up bored and sigh slapping down a folder titled Clock case .

Receptionist :"New case and you've got a new partner he's waiting for you in your office "

She swivels on her chair after saying that and goes back to work . A new partner already ? I just lost the last one . I walk further into the office heading towards my office when I feel a tight hug from behind .

______ : "Y/N I've missed youuuu " they whine.

Y/N : " Jimin you saw me everyday when I was on leave " I chuckle.

He lets go of me and I face towards him.

Jimin : " I worry about you Y/N but besides that "

He looks towards my office to see the blinds aren't closed and a tall man with  brown hair with glasses reading a book while leaning against the wall .

Y/N: " is that my supposed new partner The receptionist mentioned ? "

Jimin : " Yeah he actually came in yesterday to and was reading your current case although I think he broke one of your pens yesterday on accident it looked like he panicked" he chuckled lightly

I pat Jimin on the head and then ruffle his hair . I had to he was looking at me with such sad eyes after he chuckled . I mean we both lost a friend . I just smile at him and head toward my office and take in breath of air then enter . The Sophisticated looking man looks up and put his book to his side . He smiles at me and I'll admit he has adorable dimples . He reaches into his pocket and hands me a pen.

Namjoon : " Hi my names Kim Namjoon as of today I'm your new partner and I'm sorry but I broke one of your pens " he looks down like a sad puppy and I can't help but smile as he's handing me a brand new pen much fancier than the ones I had .

Y/N : " you didn't have to get a new one but thank you Namjoon " I say politely as I sit at my desk . Reading to talk about the current case at hand .

He takes a seat in front of me and opens up his folder of the case . I take a glance and notice he has things underlined in various colors in pen and little scribbles of notes .

Y/N: " Can I take a look at your folder you seem to be more caught up than me "

Namjoon : " Sure and I apologize I wanted to catch up since your more familiar with this Area " he hands me the folder

I look down at it and see he had drawn a cute little koalas as the boarder of the page . I chuckle out loud .

Y/N: " That's cute , it's cute -"

I started chuckling once again but stopped when I looked at him instead of being embarrassed he was just smiling at me and my heart tightened.

Namjoon : " His name is Koya I draw him when I'm stuck on a part of the case "

he's pretty cute for a guy who looks so sophisticated . We get back to working and reviewing the case with him and we figure things out smoothly ~
