"Come on! Let's go!" My best friend, Britney's voice cuts through my thoughts like a knife.

I shake my head slightly before slipping on my white sneakers and taking a good look at myself in the mirror. My brown hair still flat, my black tank top and ripped jeans, along with my white sneakers... I look plain.

A slight frown appeared on my face before I walked out of my plain room and down the stairs.

Standing in the doorway of my front door I found Britney, talking to my mom. "I love your shirt as well Mrs. Reeves!" I hear Britney say before they both turned to me.

I love my best friend, I really do. Sometimes though I can't help but envy her.

Her perfect, wavy, blonde, hair seems to glow around her makeup perfected face. Her curves were showing off in her tight, baby blue, crop top and her black leggings. Her purse even looked good on her. What isn't there to envy?

"Here." My mom snapped, giving me a look I didn't understand. Her hand was outstretched to me with a handful of money, "There's 50$ to spend, use it wisely."

I took the money and placed it in my pocket that wasn't already occupied with my phone.

She dropped her hand was stalked away. I rolled my eyes before turning back to my best friend. I forced a smile, "Let's go."

She grinned and walked out the door, with me trailing behind her. Both of us opened Britney's new black Chevy Equinox doors and jumped in the car. Her in the driver's seat with me in the passenger's.

She started the car and started driving to the mail, "So, now that school is over we don't have to worry about dress code!" She exclaims, "What clothes are you thinking of buying? I'm hoping for a nice dress, maybe some ripped shorts... Oh! What about a tube top? I heard those are in style this summer." She rambles on.

"I don't know." I shrug. I've never been the girly girl type like she is. Sure, I'll occasionally where crop tops, but even to parties Britney dragged me to I've never worn a dress.

I'll most likely end up grabbing a pair of shorts and a shirt.

Britney nods before she started talking about what's in style this summer. I tune her out and instead look out the window, watching the trees go zoom by making it look like a blur of green and brown.

After awhile of tuning Britney out we finally arrived at the mall. As soon as I got out of the car, Britney is there dragging me towards the mall by my hand.

"Ow Britney, you don't need to murder my hand!" I exclaim.

"Yes I do." She states, "If I don't have a hold on you we will never make it to the good dresses." Still not letting go of my hand she pulls me towards the dresses.

"Please no, not another fashion show." I groaned. Last time I came into this part of the mall with her I swear she tried on at least 100 dresses before she chose one that she liked.

"Oh get over it. Last time you had me watch you try on 5 pair of jeans that I promise you looked the same." She said still holding my hand as she looked through the dresses on the racks.

"They looked the same but were different rises and styles." I mumbled.

After what felt like forever she chose a red dress that fit her so skin tight, it could be another skin. "Now, where do you want to go?" She asked me.
