It was a cold Monday night. I had finished the project and sent it to the author earlier today. Mainly, I was waiting for the prince to show up. I started dinner around 30 minutes ago. I made steak because this guy was coming over. I didn't care what he thought of me. No, I just knew that he was a werewolf and that I was a neko. Showing kindness now might lead to our own alliance. Like, you won't kill me in my sleep because our families hate each other.

Quite frankly, Nekos and Lycanthropes had nothing in common other than our appearance. Ears, tail, eyes. Still, it was easy to tell who was what. Nekos eyes were more soft colored and interrogating at night. Lycanthropes were more, well, woof.

I heard a knock at my door. I quickly jumped at the sound. I was enjoying the sound of the soft wind that blew in through my window. I went over to the door and peered out. Standing there were the two agents and a boy. The boy's hair was very messy. He wore dark clothing and, obviously, his tail and ears were put away. However, I was curious to see what they looked like.

I opened the door. "Evening agents." I greeted them with a smile that they didn't return. They pushed the boy into my apartment. "Good luck. " they said to me before walking away.
I closed the door before turned on my heels to face the boy. He wore a rather annoyed look. Obviously, he wasn't happy with this whole 'lay low' plan.

I held my hand out to shake his. "I'm Aztec. It's nice to meet you. " he didn't shake my hand. He just began to look around the kitchen. I let my hand fall awkwardly. I see that he isn't very... open minded.

"When will the food be done?" The boy asked rather impatiently. I stood up straight, trying to make myself look more professional. "A few minutes. If you wouldn't mind, I would prefer to know something abou-" the boy cut me off as he turned back to look me. "I would prefer that the neko would shut up. " I clenched my jaw. He did NOT just say that. I get what I am, but he is a prince.

Shouldn't he have some respect or elligance? "I would like to make something very clear. I did not invite you here to be distespected by some werewolf." He looked at me, showing he was rather offended. 'Werewolf' They hated the word. They hated it the same was I hated being called a neko.

The ding went off from the oven. I smiled at the boy before going to retrieve the food from the oven. I set it down, turned the oven off and turned back to the boy. "I don't think I caught your name. " I told him. He stood up, puffing out his chest. "Lykos."

We took a moment to stare at each other. Not going to lie, he was attractive. But I didn't care. He was a lycanthrope. I was.... me. I was a protector until the Final Battle was over. A few months. That was it. Nothing more than living with the enemy for a few months. It would all be fine.

Lykos took a seat at the table. I laughed in my head as he was confused about the one fork, one knife, one cup part for he was probably used to being formal. I sat a plate down in front of him and took my seat. I could feel his eyes on me as I ate. I looked up to him. His pupils were dilated and a smug grin was on his face. "You are going to be fun to break." He told me. I smiled back. "Oh, I'm sure of it."
