"(Y/N)!" You turned around. It was Mrs. Parker, she was the guidance counselor of DUAT and principal of another university across the state. She was pretty, and really smart. "I was looking for you."

"Hi, Mrs. Parker." You said. "Do you need anything?"

"Actually, I do. Not only from you, but the other students themselves." She smiled. "I spoke to the principal recently, and after thinking about all this possible android revolution and 'demanding', I thought it would be great if you and the others made a speech on the graduation day."

"A speech? Like, for the whole DUAT?"

"Yes! And the theme I chose for the speech is 'What is the connection between humanity and technology to you?'" She said.

You got a bit dizzy, it was out of the blue for you. The idea of speaking in front of hundreds of people really worried you. It was something your anxiety couldn't let you do. Chase a potentially dangerous deviant? Yes. Getting a gun pointed at you? Yes. Make a speech in front of everyone in your college? Hell no.

"Look, Mrs. Parker..." You said. "I know this deviant shit is getting on us, but... I don't think I can do it. Sorry."

"Are you really saying that?" Mrs. Parker was bewildered. "(Y/N), you're one of the most engaged student I know. You've won trophies in the past years! You love to dance, and I know you love advancement. In every way. I really want to know what you have to say at graduation."

"But Mrs. Parker, I--"

"Shush! You're going to write an incredible speech and share it with the world, like everyone else." She said before leaving. "Go get that respect, girl!"

"'Kay.."

"And oh, by the way..." Mr.Parker said. "The college board asks all students to clean their belongings."

"Um, why?"

"Since the classes are suspended we thought that it's kind of useless for you to let your stuff here. Plus, Cyberlife doesn't want any suspect behavior around the campus for now."

"I get it."

Cyberlife... You'll never rest, will you? Until you get the attention you want?

You remembered what happened today. What you saw at Capitol Park. More specifically, who you saw.

You were sleeping on the couch next to Connor. You woke up and went upstairs to use the bathroom, you glanced back at the android and he was immobile. While washing your hands you heard a notification sound coming from your phone in your back pocket. A bit sleepy, you grabbed it. You realized that it was Ethan.

At first you thought it was a joke

At first you thought it was a joke. But Ethan normally doesn't text you in the middle of the night. Not like this. You sighed. Sometimes you think you're too good, or too naive... or just stupid. Leaving home at dawn to meet your ex who is probably drunk or high.
