Icebox

Your touch is like ice to my already cold heart,

I hid it from the world hoping to be unnoticed.

But you, you snuck through my walls and now here we are,

Face to face, peering through each others soul, but I shut you out,

My barrier thickens and you are not allowed in, the less you know the less I feel.

Pain and heartache has led me right to this position, closing and locking all possible doors that seem inviting.

Love, I don't have time for.

Happiness, was tossed to the side.

I'm just cold, ice is what I am.

The icebox that will never be unfrozen for no man.
