I recovered from my shock and nodded. I started walking down the stairs and onto the street, and he fell in step with me.

"When?"

He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, before continuing.

"Umm, do you want to make them tonight?"

I toyed with the question before answering.

"Swing by around five, and we can grab some food after."

His face lit up with a brilliant smile and brushed a lock of blonde hair out of his face.

"Sounds good, see you then."

He smiled at me one last time before bounding off in the opposite direction of his limo that had been following close behind us.

It was a quarter to five when my phone rang. I watched my phone vibrate on my nightstand in the reflection of my mirror while I put my earrings in. After finishing my task I turned and answered the Facetime call, throwing the phone on my bed so I could continue getting ready.

"Hey, what's up guys?"

"Why didn't you tell us, you were going out tonight with Adrien!"

Marinette's voice squealed through the phone, I rolled my eyes while pulling on a white knitted sweater.

"It's not a huge deal he asked me when I was leaving after lunch earlier."

"Girl it kinda is a big deal his dad never lets him out of the house to do anything!"

Alya, a lot calmer than Marinette, commented. This did make me pause in my quest to button the top of the trap on my dress.

'How is he going to get his dad's permission to come here in the first place?'

"Well, that's the whole reason we're doing this in the first place he needs a place to hide his costume before the concert. It's nothing like that."

This explanation seemed to satisfy them, I didn't miss the sigh of relief Marinette made.

"Well I need to go, my parents need some help with the stairs, call us later and tell us how it goes!"

Marinette said her 'goodbyes' and clicked off the call, she seemed in better spirits now that she knew more about the situation. I sighed, breaking the silence, then put my wallet and keys in my bag.

"I think Adrien might have a thing for you."

I picked up my phone off the bed and started walking towards the living room, I almost had forgotten Alya was still on the call.

The weird thing was Nathaniel had said the same thing the other day when we were doing work in the library, a hushed whisper passed to me in the back corner of the room.

"Are you kidding no way, and I would never do that to Marinette."

I set my stuff on the counter and sat down on the window sill in the front to watch for his limo. There was silence for a few seconds.

"I think she's starting to get over him. It's like pulling teeth though, we're all in the same friend group you know."

"Give it time both of them might still come around you never know. Or Mari is going to meet someone who sweeps her off her feet~"

I sang the last bit a little which pulled a giggle out of Alya.

"You're right, gotta stay positive with these things. You'll call later right?"
