𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 {𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡}

Two days

Marigold's POV

I woke up to see Clove standing over me and leaves covering where I had been stung . I took the leaves off only to reveal that the sting no longer stung .

"How long was I out ?"
I asked Clove .

"Couple of days"

"How did you know how to do this ?"
I gestured to the leaves

"I didn't . Rue did"

I looked behind me to see Rue .

"Thank you"

"It's okay . I changed your leaves twice"
Rue replied .

I'm quite surprised that Clove didn't kill Rue but honestly I'm glad she didn't because Rue is innocent and deserves better than this .

"What happened whilst I was out ?"
I asked both of them .

"Glimmer , Peeta and boy from 10"
Clove replied .

"Peeta ? What happened to Peeta"
I asked .

I always knew he would die in here but I felt a pang of sadness as Clove told me Peeta died .

"He helped me get You away from the careers before they found him and killed him"

The fact he died just after helping me made me feel even worse .

The three of us sat in silence eating a bird until Rue said

"Is it true ?"

"Is what true ?"
Clove replied .

"You two , together"

The grin on Rue's face made me chuckle before replying

"You could say that . Right Clove ?"

"Definitely"

"So where are Cato and the others ?"
I asked .

"There at the cornucopia with all there supplies stacked up in a pyramid"
Rue stated .

"That sounds tempting . So is there just Cato and Marvel there ?"

"There's the boy from three aswell"

Three ? What was a boy from three doing with one and two .

"What are they doing with him ?"

"He set up traps for them"

Makes sense actually . District three is technology after all .

I layed facing Clove who was looking right back at me . Rue however had already fallen asleep .

"I want to destroy there supplies"
I told Clove .

"Me too"
She responded.

"I'm glad you didn't kill her"
I gestured to Rue

"She knew how to help you"

I nodded knowing that if Rue didn't know how to help me Clove would've killed her . Which I wouldn't approve of in the slightest.

"What do we do at the end if we come down to be the final two?"
I asked .

"I die and you live"

"What ? No"

"Nobody cares about me . I have nothing to live for other than you . You have your sisters you told me about"

I suddenly felt a major longing to see Katniss and Prim .

"I care about you , I need you"
I responded.

Clove didn't respond but pressed her lips to mind instead which I gladly returned .
