Chapter 19 (Part II)

Start from the beginning

Elton asked the driver if we could climb the boat, and he said yes. Elton and Heath, mostly Heath, started singing.

I recorded them on my phone while Heath freaked out about the height. Then I started sneaking pictures of Jules. She didn't notice. I always loved watching her look out on the ocean. She was in her element, and honestly, she had never looked more beautiful.

Elton and Heath Titanic'd together and then did so again when they noticed they had an audience.

He encouraged me to jump onto a boat, so I pretended to do so. When we reached the dock, Elton said, "This is an amazing day."

We got to the hotel, and I saw something from Aladdin, which excited me. When we finished exploring the hotel, we boarded another boat so we could sail the Nile. The second we got on, I took hold of the steering wheel and the boat started moving. We got confused about starboard and starburst and Jules raised an eyebrow. "You mean starboard and port?"

"That sounds right." I answered, turning to her. "How'd you know?"

"Jackson and I once directed a film about a pirate who kidnapped a princess and then they fell in love. Kind of a weird story. Don't worry. I wasn't in a "relationship" with my brother. But I was the motherforking princess."

The sailor appeared, and Elton told us we would be going to an island with crocodiles. Heath started teasing Sam for his banana allergy, and earned a scary glare from Jules. Sam started driving, and I took Juliet's hand. Sam told us he was nervous, which didn't reassure us.

I pulled off my shirt and claimed I was tanning, and Elton called me Brennen.

We arrived at the island and saw white pigeons and started cooing at them. We walked through a banana grove and one of us said something about banana spiders. I noticed a small grimace from Jules.

We came across a fox in a cage, so naturally, I stuck my hand through the gate. The fox ran towards me and I pulled my hand out moments before Jules pulled me away. "Please don't get your arm bit off or die."

I stuck my hand in the cage again, this time joined by Heath. Elton told us it was a stupid idea, but wanted the footage. Once again, Jules pulled me away and took my hands. "Stop trying to get yourself hurt or killed."

"I thought you were cunning and up for just about anything."

"I am, but not at the cost of an arm or my life."

We walked over to a cage of monkeys next, and I started acting like a monkey and circled Jules. She laughed and then pointed to one of the monkeys, noticing that it was trying to grab Elton's mic and actually pulled it off. He got it back relatively quickly.

There was a pit with a crocodile and Jules tentatively walked up to it and said, "Glad it's in a pit. Crocodiles are scary af."

Someone said something about turning the croc into shoes and Jules sighed. "Be nice to the animals, don't joke about turning them into things."

We walked back towards the monkeys and foxes. I held out a banana to the monkeys, but it refused the banana. The monkey wanted the mic, or as Elton said, the fuzzy good good. I then offered the banana to the fox, and it ate it right away. The poor creature was clearly starving, and I felt awful.

We walked through the banana grove and saw a dog tied up. We walked closer and I saw blue spray paint covering the dog. Elton gave me some shit about dying Circa pink. At least it was dog safe. We determined that the dog had rolled in blue spray paint, which was why the dog was tied up. I knelt by the dog and started petting it, feeling emotional. The poor dog's fur was stiff from all the spray paint and it looked sad.
