Chapter 19 (Part II)

Heath found a store with Red Bull, but found out that the store was closed. We decided to move on.

We drove through the mountains on the way to the Valley of the Kings. Elton decided to break the rules and film on his phone. Jules looked like she was debating warning Elton against filming, but decided to not do so. He did get in trouble, and our guide talked security out of Elton having to go to Egyptian jail and a $300 fine.

A guy came up to us offering us Red Bull for a terrible price, and we managed to bargain for a lower price.

We got to the Temple of Hatshepsut. Us guys had trouble pronouncing it, which Jules found amusing. Our guide tried to help us pronounce it, but they kept messing up. Jules seemed suspicious. It was probably smart, because we were being funny for the camera. We walked down a flight of stairs, and Elton wanted us to do Egyptian Rocky, so Jules and I did so.

She fished through her bag and frowned. "What's wrong?" Sam asked.

"I forgot my sunglasses."

"I don't have an extra pair. Sorry."

Jules marveled at the artwork, and I took her hand. I was glad that we'd sorted our little spat. I'd used the wrong word, but thankfully, Jules had a good heart, and is willing to forgive.

Elton joked about carving the name of exes on the wall and Jules laughed awkwardly. "The guy I'm with is the first guy I've dated."

Elton turned the camera off and I said, "I'm the first guy you've dated?"

She nodded. "My first kiss was with you too. Back in New Zealand."

"Jules, you should've told me!"

"Colby, it's okay. If I didn't want you to, I would've pulled away."

"Fair enough."

I kissed her and Elton turned the camera back on and we looked for Sam to see he was standing in front of the statue. "What are you doing?"

"Shh." Sam whispered. "I'm blending in."

"Stand behind the rope and you'll blend in even more."

Sam noticed a guy walking up to him and asked, "Is this okay?"

The man walked over to him and fixed his stance and then took a picture with him. Elton then took a picture with the guy.

We continued exploring the temple and when we left, Elton told us to model walk, so we did so, and started acting like idiots.

We saw people digging, so we decided to take a turn. Sam was the first to go, and somehow managed to injure myself. I went next, and did something sexual. Elton was third to go, and he went really fast before slowing down. Jules did it like she was churning butter. Heath stayed back and watched us act like idiots.

When we left the temple, we saw giant statues that had recently been uncovered. We went to take pictures.

Elton decided to take some pictures of me, and I noticed him pulling my phone out of his pants. Gross! He finally said he got the angle, and I saw everyone backing up out of the corner of my eye, including my girlfriend. I thought she'd at least stay. Elton then took a picture with me using a filter.

We started slamming Elton's Instagram and on the way to lunch, we saw a dog that didn't want to be around us. Jules had attached her hand to mine on the side away from the dog.

We ate our food and then boarded a boat. Heath joked about there being a stripper pole in the middle of the boat. Sam immediately got on the pole and Jules just sighed. "Oh, boy."
